Hard-core Carnivore since May 2024. “Everyone is free to choose any destiny they wish.” — Vadim Zeland

It took 2.5 years on carnivore, but this summer I finally noticed something remarkable: I no longer burn in the sun the way I used to. After spending so much time under the strong Sardinian sun, I expected the usual redness and irritated skin. Instead, my skin gradually developed a tan without burning. I’m not saying diet makes anyone immune to UV damage, and this is only my personal experience. But when your body starts responding differently after decades of doing the same thing, you pay attention. Carnivore has changed far more than my weight—it has changed how my entire body responds to the world around me.☀️

Today, I grilled two small New York strip steaks on my new Ninja Woodfire Grill, using the built-in thermometer to cook them to a perfect medium-rare.😋

If you have trouble sleeping, check what your sheets are made of. After reading a tweet about bamboo fabric, I threw out my bamboo sheets and replaced them with 100% linen. My sleep improved dramatically! I now sleep through the entire night like a baby, without waking up once.
Bamboo sheets are sold as the gentle alternative to cotton and silk, and the fabric they are made of is the one that put factory workers in asylums. Bamboo cloth is not bamboo. It is viscose. The plant is pulped, dissolved in caustic soda and carbon disulphide, and squirted through a nozzle into acid, where it sets into a thread. It was patented in England in 1892 as artificial silk, and the trade name for it was rayon. The same process makes a kitchen sponge and the cellophane on a bunch of flowers. Carbon disulphide was already notorious. French doctors in the 1850s had watched it send rubber workers blind, impotent and insane. The viscose industry needed it in enormous quantities and nothing else would do. So from the 1920s the asylums began to fill. In 1933 a doctor at a Pennsylvania rayon plant wired Alice Hamilton, the first woman on the Harvard faculty and the country's authority on industrial poisons, with a 6-word message: an epidemic of insanity has broken out. Workers were going home and attacking their wives. Men in the churn rooms were found wandering the roads. Investigators who got inside found a third of the workforce showing signs of poisoning. The companies fixed prices, sat on the evidence, and when the regulators finally came for them in the West they moved the factories to India, China and Indonesia, where the same chemical is used today. The consumer was never harmed. Only the people who made the cloth. Silk is made by a caterpillar in a mulberry tree. Wool is made by a sheep in a field. Both are a protein, same as your own hair, and both have been pulled off the animal for 5,000 years without sending anybody out of his mind. The fake silk needed a chemical that could not be made safe, and the industry's answer was to make it somewhere else.

Thank you, everyone, for all the gun recommendations and advice! ❤️ Here’s my plan based on all the advice and information I’ve gathered so far. 1. Find a shooting range that also sells and rents firearms. 2. Take a beginner’s firearm safety class. 3. Rent and try several models before making a decision. 4. Buy only when I feel comfortable and confident. My top picks to try, based on your suggestions: Sig Sauer P365 Glock 48 Glock 26 Glock 17 Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ .380 Sig Sauer P238 Glock 42 Springfield 9mm Kimber Micro 9 Canik Also considering a S&W 686 revolver and Ruger 10/22.
I’m considering buying my first gun, and safety is my top priority. I’m looking for something small, reliable, beginner-friendly, and easy to handle. I also plan to get proper training. Experienced gun owners, what would you recommend for a woman and why?

My most controversial nutritional opinions, in no particular order, so the replies can pick a fight efficiently. - Chicken tastes of nothing because it is nothing. - Salt is a farming invention and I haven't added it in years. - You do not need to eat liver. The animal was using it as a filter. - Vegetables are very healthy, once a cow has eaten them. - Fruit is bait with a stone in it. - Fibre is a word for the part you cannot digest, sold as the point. - Seed oils caused the diabetes. Sugar just turned up to help. - Carbs are not poison. They are a hobby. - Grass-fed is a label for the default. Every British cow is standing on the label. - 30% fat mince was the normal mince. The lean stuff is the deviation. - Butter lives on the counter. The fridge is for people who ration it. - Raw milk is the only food on earth designed to be food. - Olive oil is a seasoning the Mediterranean cooked in lard beside. - Mutton beats lamb. The lamb was two years short of flavour. - A bacon cheeseburger without the bun is as healthy as it gets. - Sunburn is a seed oil problem wearing a sun costume. - The only animal we cannot do without is the one that eats grass. Every one of those is checkable, which is the part the replies find hardest.

To bean or not to bean? 😂🤔 Carnivore Bacon Chili😘 Ingredients: •8 oz bacon, cubed •1 lb ground beef •1 tsp smoked paprika •1 tsp chili powder •½ tsp garlic powder •½ tsp onion powder (optional) •¼ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) •8–10 oz beef broth •Shredded cheese for topping Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cube the bacon and bake until crispy, about 12–15 minutes. Remove and set aside. 2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat if needed. 3. Add the spice mix to the beef and stir to coat evenly. 4. Mix in the crispy bacon. Add 8–10 oz beef broth and simmer 5–10 minutes. 5. Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese.

Edith Murway-Traina took up powerlifting at 91 because a friend wanted company at the gym, and at 99 she deadlifted 150lb and took a Guinness world record. She lived in Tampa. Her friend dragged her there, by Edith's own account, kicking and screaming. She stayed. By 99 she was the oldest competitive female powerlifter on record, pulling 150lb off the floor, a great-great-grandmother. She said the thing she liked best was the applause. A woman of 91 is not supposed to start anything. She's supposed to be handed a pair of pink dumbbells and told to be careful. A review published this year pulled together 126 trials of resistance training in women, 4,019 of them, two thirds past the menopause. The women after the menopause gained strength just as well as the women before it. The menopause made no measurable difference to how they answered the bar. The muscle never stopped listening. Everybody around it stopped talking to it. At that age heavy is the treatment, and the older the body gets, the more it needs the load and the less it can afford the wasted volume. If you're reading this, you are younger than she was on her first day in the gym.

I have a confession to make: every pound of this physique was built by plants. - Ryegrass, most of it - White clover - Heather, off the hill - Bramble, off the hedge - Nettles and docks - Hay, a whole June of it - Silage, a whole wet June of it - Turnips, in February I didn't eat a single one. The cow, the ewe and the goat did, with the four stomachs and the yard of bacteria that the job needs, and sent them down to me as mince, mutton, butter and a litre of milk a day. So the thanks go to them. A ruminant is the only machine on earth that can turn a hillside into muscle. I just stand at the end of it with a fork. So I'm plant-based, technically. I've simply outsourced the chewing to something that's good at it.

Nobody is coming to save you! In fact you probably wouldn’t listen anyway. People make the changes in their own time. And in some cases, something happens to that person, to shake them up a bit!! Make them reflect and open their eyes and minds! I like to call it ‘the dark night of the soul’, some call it an ‘awakening’ or seeing the light! However, I would recommend not waiting for that day. We are here on a journey, let’s make it a stronger, happier one! I’m locked in on a path! Are you???

Last strength class until Monday. This one was pre-recorded so I can step away and be with family. Faith, loved ones, and your health are the real blessings. Everything else is just a bonus added to a life that’s already full.

Things I did to my own body in my twenties, on purpose, that I now find genuinely horrifying: - Paid extra for mince with the good part removed - Drained the fat down the sink like I was getting rid of evidence - Ate chicken voluntarily, several times a day, and called it a lifestyle - Weighed rice raw, then cooked, then logged it - Separated eggs and binned the yolk, the only part with anything in it - Trimmed the fat off a steak and left it on the side of the plate - Ate every three hours to stoke a metabolism that never asked - Ate a banana before the gym, like that was what moved the bar - Ate liver weekly for three years because the internet said I'd die without it - Drank electrolyte sachets pulling a face, for cramps I didn't have - Fried things in sunflower oil from a bottle with a heart on the label - Ate a rice cake and called it a snack - Blamed dairy for stomach aches that turned out to be pasteurisation - Went scarlet every summer and blamed the sun And all that time I thought I was the disciplined one, while the 20% mince sat on the bottom shelf, cheaper, waiting for me to grow up.

When will you people start to realize that the elites see the general populous as cattle? They want to feed you slop so they can profit off you being stupid, lazy, and obese. This is only going to get worse btw. WAKE UP.

Today I cooked beef sweetbreads—mollejas—for the first time. They’re super easy to prepare: boil them for 5–10 minutes, chop them, then fry them in butter until crispy. They taste like meat nuggets!😘 What are the benefits of eating this organ meat?my first time eating it🤗

Six years of carnivore teaches you a second language, and half of every dinner party now needs subtitles. What I say, and what it means. "I'm not that hungry." I had 500 grams of mutton mince at lunch and food hasn't crossed my mind since. "I'll just have the steak." The biggest one. Fat on. Whatever was going next to it, put butter there instead. "I'm easy, whatever you're having." Whatever you're having had a face. "I'll eat later." Once. Enormously. Possibly standing up. "Just a black coffee, thanks." I've already had four eggs and I'm being polite. "Is there any more butter?" There is never enough butter, and we both know it. "Can I have the fat you've just trimmed off?" Yes, I'm serious, and no, it's not for the dog. "I'll bring something." I'll bring a cheeseboard and eat most of it. "No pudding for me." I had my pudding. It was the fat on the lamb. What other people say to me, and what it means. "Everything in moderation." I'm about to have a biscuit. "Where do you get your fibre?" I'm about to tell you about my bowels. "I could never give up bread." I have never tried. "Don't you miss pasta?" Please tell me you miss pasta. "Isn't that expensive?" I've never added up what I spend on snacks. "I'm on a bit of a health kick myself." There's a protein bar in my handbag. "Go on, a little bit won't hurt." I need you to eat this so I feel better about mine. "Have you tried intermittent fasting?" I skipped breakfast once in 2019 and I've been telling people since. "Doesn't it get boring?" I've had the same meal deal at my desk every weekday since the Olympics. "My doctor would have a fit." My doctor has never once asked what I eat. "I'm not judging." I'm judging. "Is that even healthy?" I've never asked myself that about my own lunch. "You'll be dead by sixty." Please don't prove me wrong in front of everyone. And one phrase that needs no translation at all, the one they land on once they've worked through the rest: "You look well, though."

On the bright side, I made carnivore Marry Me Chicken today—and let me tell you, it’s SO good. I think even @SamaHoole would approve. 😂 Carnivore Marry Me Chicken Serves 4 • About 35 minutes😍 Ingredients: •1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts •5 slices bacon, chopped •1 tbsp butter • ½ cup chicken bone broth • 1 cup heavy cream • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan • ¾ tsp salt • ½ tsp black pepper • 1 tsp smoked paprika, divided • 1 tsp Italian seasoning • 1 tsp garlic powder • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes Instructions 1. Halve the breasts horizontally into thin cutlets. Dry them, then season with salt, pepper, and half the paprika. 2. Crisp the bacon over medium heat, 6–8 minutes. Set aside, keeping about 2 tbsp bacon fat in the skillet. 3. Sear the cutlets over medium-high heat, roughly 4–5 minutes per side, until they reach 165°F. Remove. 4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and remaining seasonings; stir briefly. 4. Add broth and loosen the browned bits. Simmer 2 minutes, then add cream and gently reduce for 4–5 minutes. 5. Over low heat, stir in Parmesan until smooth. 6. Return chicken, coat with sauce, and warm for 2 minutes. Finish with bacon. For a strict carnivore version, omit the herbs and spices and use salt alone.😘
