Been working on this for the past few weeks and it’s finally out!
Our next focus will be true large screen support and improving Twine’s animations across the board.
Twine 3.0 is finally out, shipping tons of new features like improved feed & podcast support, a new Discovery section and an improved user interface. @edpratti and I can’t wait to hear what you think!
every product i use should just be a headless mcp, that feeds into an agent, where i never have to think about anything underneath.
except for our product, of course.
in our product, customers love the ui and love us very much.
we're special that way.
Interested to try this.
Anything to get out of prompting hell.
Another one.
I wanted to share more about Components in @paper to help everyone plan for the upcoming launch. We've been hard at work and we have something truly next level to ship soon.
1. Components dev is going very well. We don't set hard deadlines, we're a "release it when it's good" kind of product, but I'd estimate ~1 month or so. Certainly before EOY.
2. Creating one shared world from your codebase to the canvas and back is the priority.
We don't want to just repeat the abstractions from existing design tools; we want to fix the fragmented workflow between developers and designers. But we also don't want to add cognitive load or engineering concept while you're designing.
Principle: designing with components should feel familiar, designer-first, and then also happen to align to your codebase effortlessly. No tool has ever pulled this off yet.
3. The initial components release will be mature and include: slots, variants with props, React in, React out, and full agent support. Components from your codebase can also run real code, so components can have logic, dates, and math.
4. Agents can read and write components quickly, accurately, and with low token usage. To your agent, components in Paper just look like React, which means they already know exactly how to use them.
I'm so excited to share Paper components with the Paper community. Thanks for your patience as we do the R&D necessary to ship something next level 🙏

I’m choosing to believe Rockstar is only releasing GTA 6 on November 19th to steal the spotlight from my birthday.
Is this how indie developers feel
Corbin has been THE most inspirational engineer I've seen in the past 10 years I've been doing design.
I've worked with him for most of those years and I couldn't say enough good things about him.
Incredible person (and engineer!)
I am looking for my next career opportunity!
I'm Corbin Crutchley; an engineering leader, consultant, author, and open-source maintainer.
Previously as a VP of Eng, I've sped up engineering efforts for companies. My teams rework large-scale systems while building new features at the same time.
You may also know of my OSS projects (@tan_stack & others) or my books (@playful_program).
Roles I'm looking for:
- CTO / VP of Engineering for small/medium companies
- Staff+ Engineering roles, esp developer tooling
- Consulting gigs
Likewise, if your project is particularly challenging and / or complex, let's talk.
Know of a good role for me? Book some time on my website or reach out in direct messages:

I don't think I've ever had as much issue with a piece of software than Figma Draw's "variable stroke width" feature. It's so incredibly, frustratingly fragile.
A path is too curvy? Broken. A path has one too many vector points? Broken. A path has too few? Broken again!

BREAKING: In GTA 6 you can try to impress Lucia by showing her your vibe coded app that never ships to production:

Who says you can't have fun and improve A11Y at the same time?
We're working on themes!
This means that soon it will be easier to tweak your reading experience on Playful Programming regardless of your color preference or vision requirements.
High contrast 🤝 Fun colors
I do not understand the vision behind Material Expressive and I fear there’s not enough people at Google that do either.
Celebrating small wins is hardwired into "Achieve," our goal-tracking sample app.
We wanted the simple act of checking off a task to feel like a celebration. Instead of the standard #Material ripple, we used Styles to drop in a custom, high-contrast completion animation—specifically, a brand-colored ring that expands and fades on tap, paired with a subtle pressed-state gradient.
It lets us focus entirely on polishing those custom, rewarding micro-interactions while Material handles the foundation.
