(1/2) The US now leads the world with over 123,000 coronavirus cases. We had 510 Americans die yesterday. It is going to get much, much worse before it gets better. This chart of daily death rate growths from my model helps in visualizing our national emergency.
1/2 Here is a graph from my model comparing daily death growth rates for US/Italy. Italy is pointing down - appear to be flattening the curve. At the moment we are accelerating in the opposite direction. We will be flattening our curve when the blue line is trending down.
Most important chart I can share from my model - haven't seen this anywhere else. If we don't get the blue line pointed down toward 10% and below quickly, we will lose 100s of thousands. It's trending in the wrong direction today. Our national challenge. #coronavirus @cnnbrk
1/2 On March 7, 9 days ago, I built a model to predict the spread of coronavirus in the US. I predicted 18% daily growth in deaths. The past 9 days the daily growth has been 17.85%. Here is a chart showing what will happen over the next 45 days if it continues growing at 17.85%.
