Sadly, it's not looking good for Johnson v Jacobson. Today is the long conference and as of now, no response requested (nor was it rescheduled like a couple other cases were). Hoping for a surprise, but the odds are what they are. We really need more orgs filing amicus briefs at the petition stage for every reciprocity case that comes up. Don't make me start bullying you all! Stop focusing on legislative solutions that won't happen given the filibuster. Unless you can get several Dem senators to be sane, SCOTUS is the only path. Every gun org should be filing briefs. Once you have one written, it's very easy to adapt it to each case. Our Johnson brief was mostly the same as our Gardner one. Make SCOTUS get 20 briefs each time someone petitions on this issue.
