Observes that we are in an elevator up, escalator down environment for precious metals right now - this is very unusual, the opposite of what we normally see! ๐ฅ
Bought more yellow brass... 2 vintage hand chiseled Indian vases, $1 a piece ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I have no clue what I'm going to do with all this 'junk', but finding out we make 'bronzed brass' in Scandinavia with 80% copper and some of the zinc replaced by tin, I want different kind of brass compounds to figure out how the metals are working with and how they react to the environment ๐คฃ

3 distinct designs of last century #Silver salt cellars!
The Scandinavian and Russian designs pictured with 'the hinged wings swan'. The swan design originated from Germany๐ฉ๐ช but was popular throughout northern Europe:
Russian๐ท๐บ (Soviet era) gilded and enamel #Silver salt cellar ๐ฅ
- A complete contrast to the Scandinavian style (the viking boat is Norwegian๐ณ๐ด).
Bowl: 916, 37 g
Spoon: 875, 3.5 g
Both showcase the 2 most common silver purities from the regions.
The regular silverware standards:
* 830, Scandinavian standard
* 875 (84 zolotnik/21 carat)
The high end:
* 925, adopted UK Sterling standard
* 916 (88 zolotnik/22 carat)
Who is buying all this #Gold? ๐ฅ๐ฎ

Still buying scrap #Silver.... $1.19/gram.
Hard to estimate the exact silver price as it's uncertain how much is 925, 830, or 800.
I know 2 of the coins and most of the jewelry is 925 and a lot of the spoons and forks are 830 - some of the designs carry a premium.
But we are paying $37/ozt in raw weight, so still way below melt, as worst case (all only 800) would result in $46.25/ozt.
Still the best deal out there imo, if stacking bulk silver and you are willing spend time identifying it and find the right place to offload it.

I'm getting spammed on all social media at the moment with commercials from shops wanting to buy all categories of #Gold and #Silver... is this a sign shops see a demand, resulting in a judgment, that we are at bottom pricing?
I see a lot of rumors that shops are running dry on bullion #Silver this weekend. How does it look around where you live?
I guess the verdict so far is that we opened up, and only with a small gap up (to maybe fill) in gold.
#Silver $49.71 ๐ข+1.2%
#Gold $3,899 ๐ข+0.6%
