👑 Hello, everyone! I’m K, and I’m honoured to be serving as a special supporter for this year’s All-Japan University Ekiden. &TEAM is a 9 member global group formed through an audition program. K is known for his powerful yet delicate dancing. In fact, he has experience running Ekiden during his high school years and was so talented that even Aoyama Gakuin University’s Head Coach Hara took notice of him. And now, K has been appointed as a special supporter for this year’s All-Japan University Ekiden! Q. What does Ekiden mean to you, K? 👑 I would say it’s my entire youth. Ekiden was everything to me, so I really loved it and was passionate about it. What makes Ekiden so interesting is, of course, the tasuki (the sash passed between runners). As the race progresses towards the later stages, the runners carry forward not only the sash but also the feelings of those who gave their all in the earlier sections. I think that kind of emotional relay is one of its greatest charms, and I hope many people will tune in and watch. Q: We asked K to predict the rankings for this year’s competition. 👑 Yes! Here’s my prediction. I’ve chosen Kokugakuin University as my pick to win. Unfortunately, they finished second at the Izumo Ekiden, but I believe the depth of their team is one of their greatest strengths, so I’m looking forward to seeing them perform exceptionally well at this year’s All-Japan competition. Q. What should viewers look out for in the All-Japan University Ekiden? 👑 As an Ekiden fan myself, I think the drama in the final leg is incredible, isn’t it? So, I made my prediction with the hope of seeing something unexpected happen there. 👑 I’ll do my very best to convey the passion and youthful spirit of these university students to everyone. With that, I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s exciting competition!
