Elon Musk was right about almost everything.
And the more I look at Europe in 2026, the more I think we should actively listen to him, instead of treating him like a billionaire who tweets too much.
Behind the rockets, the cars and the memes, there's a very simple conviction he's been repeating for years: civilization is not a given. It's a fragile inheritance. And an inheritance can be lost in a single generation.
What is Western civilization? It's the idea that the individual matters. That truth is found through reason and experiment, not by decree. That power must be limited, challenged, reversible. That you have the right to build, to start something, to say no. It's the scientific method, the rule of law, democracy, the industrial revolution. It's what lifted billions of people out of poverty, far beyond the West.
Elon understood something a lot of smart people refuse to see: if this civilization collapses, it's not just "the West" that loses. Humanity loses its greatest engine of progress. No Mars, no abundance, no ambitious future. Just the management of decline.
And decline has a face. It's the temptation to centralize everything. To plan everything from the top. To replace responsibility with regulation, innovation with the precautionary principle, debate with moderation, the citizen with the user.
In Europe, that temptation has a name: the European Union.
The EU is a totalitarian project. Not because it has tanks, but because it wants control over everything while answering to no one. A Commission nobody voted for writes the rules for 450 million people. France voted no in 2005, and got the same text anyway under another name. The DSA polices what you're allowed to say online. Chat Control wants to scan your private messages. The AI Act strangles builders before they've written a line of code.
It sells itself as peace and prosperity. It delivers stagnation, surveillance and contempt for voters. An empire of lies.
We've already seen where the dream of total control leads. The 20th century is full of it. It always starts with good intentions, and it always ends in scarcity and silence.
Now, the part that's going to upset people.
I'm done with all the smart guys telling me "Europe is finished, I'm moving to Dubai" or "I'm relocating to Asia."
I get the impulse. But if you think you'll be able to hide, you're fooling yourself.
Ideas don't stop at borders. The rules strangling Europe today will be exported tomorrow. If the center collapses, there's no comfortable periphery. No island. No bunker far enough away.
But don't get me wrong. Refusing to run doesn't mean feeding the machine. You don't feed glucose to a cancer. Don't pour your talent, your taxes and your companies into a system built to cage them. Build where freedom still lets you build. But don't look away. Fight with everything you have for this empire of lies to fall.
You don't exit History with a one-way ticket.
We are living through History with a capital H again. Those who thought it ended in 1991 were wrong. It's back, and it asks every generation the same question: will you defend what was handed down to you, or watch it disappear while commenting on it?
And let's be honest: what holds most people back isn't a lack of ideas. It's fear.
Stop being afraid for your image. Your polished personal brand, your frictionless LinkedIn posts, your careful silence in meetings: none of it will protect you when things tip over. It just makes you replaceable.
Stop being afraid of shocking your parents. They grew up in a world where everything seemed guaranteed. You're growing up in a world where nothing is. You owe them respect, not your silence.
Stop being afraid of being ostracized. A few dinners where people look at you sideways, a few unfollows, a few friends who keep their distance: that's the price. It has always been there. Everyone who ever moved anything forward paid it before you.
History doesn't remember the people who were right in private. It remembers the ones who had the courage to say it and act on it.
Social comfort is the most effective cage ever invented. Nobody needs to silence you if you do it yourself.
Fighting doesn't mean playing the hero on Twitter. It means fighting at your own scale.
Build where you're free to build. Start a family and pass something on. Learn history and tell it. Defend free speech even when it bothers you. Vote against the machine, back the people who want to dismantle it, run for office yourself. Refuse mediocrity in your own work. Create more than you consume.
Every founder who refuses to feed the machine is an act of resistance. Every voice that says no out loud is an act of resistance. Every parent who passes on a love of truth, beauty and effort is an act of resistance.
Elon was right. The future doesn't arrive on its own. It's earned.
If you want a future, you'll have to fight for it.
Don't run. Don't feed it. Fight.

This is probably super wrong, but my gut tells me midterms for Republicans will be FAR BETTER than most expect because the positives of AI are beginning to be felt by the general public - ie super useful and competent agents that can actually get shit done.
I don't think most people are going to be thrilled voting for a cohort of politicians that constantly demonize anyone who is working in AI or is a supporter of it.
It's crazy to think of the Republican party as the more progressive party, but the Democrats are LITERALLY communist/socialist, and those systems are inherently regressive.
You take from others - by force - to give to others, whereas AI is an accelerant for all of humanity... or at least those that are willing to embrace it.
Again - probably super wrong, but there's something there!

No estaba.

For our new affordable midsize electric truck, the @Ford Fathom, we aren't stripping out features customers want. We're innovating. We have fundamentally reimagined how we design and manufacture vehicles to make them more affordable.
These aluminum castings replace 146 structural parts with just two, reducing weight, improving efficiency and enabling our new Universal Production System at the Louisville Assembly Plant, which allows us to build major sections of the vehicle simultaneously before bringing them together.
Great progress by our teams! Excited for what's ahead!

That the Lula-Moraes government sought to seize Bolsonaro’s passport 7 minutes after election results were announced is literally all the proof you need that it’s a political persecution. Honest liberals have to acknowledge this or lose all credibility
In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year.
The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035.
SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free.
They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)

The thing about Elon is he is often not the very first in a space bur he always frontloads solving the mass production challenges and then has an unbeatable ramp that always wins asymptotically and crushes competition
I think the battle for Autonomous Austin might already be over.

Alucinante que en el mundo se percibe la victoria de Lula como algo que “salvó la democracia”, y lo primero que hace Lula es tratar de meter preso al candidato opositor.
Nadie entiende nada.
Of course
🚨 HOLY CRAP! It's been revealed that the other Latin American rulers who "extended voting hours" like Brazil's Lula did last night to Bolsonaro to steal the election include:
- Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela (Socialist)
- Hugo Chavez, Venezuela (Socialist)
- Castro Regime and Miguel Diaz-Canel, Cuba (Communist)
- Daniel Ortega, Nicaragua (Socialist)
I am spotting a trend here.
THROW OUT THE RESULT!

Correct.
Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.
Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them.
Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.
Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.
Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia.
SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR.
That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.
End of story.

Tesla Robotaxi is now growing at a much quicker pace than Waymo in Texas.
Since Sept 1, Tesla has added 613 robotaxis (314 to 927) and Waymo has added 471 (736 to 1,207). Tesla has nearly tripled, while Waymo grew about 64%.
On avg, Tesla has been adding 11.8 Robotaxis per day
😭😭😭😭
Hear me out. I'm increasingly thinking that @KamalaHarris is an AI bot created to troll us. No human being could be remotely this imbecilic.
