Think this is more or less exactly right on the U.S. Senate. I'd maybe swap a couple of the Leans/Likely Republican race ratings for each other but that's about it. centerforpolitics.org/crysta…

2025 Georgia PSC election but it’s a U.S. Senate seat, wild
North Carolina End of Early In-Person Voting πŸ”΄ 2024: R+41,457 πŸ”΅ 2026: D+343,548 Republicans did not win a single day of early voting. Even when high-propensity voters were red, those gains were overwhelmed by exceptionally blue turnout among less frequent voters.

To assess who is the greater threat to American freedom, let’s take a look at my time in Congress with Rogers and Bernie Sanders, who shares many of El-Sayed’s views and can serve as his stand-in. Several of Sanders’s key proposals, in my opinion, would be exceptionally bad for our country. But given the structure of our government, he’s in no position to get those ideas enacted and enforced. His most notable proposals on the regulatory state, wealth redistribution, and socialized infrastructure have zero chance of becoming law. Sanders can’t even get more than a small minority of Senate Democrats to side with him on these issues. At worst, he compromises and backs the median Democratic proposal. But he’s just as likely to maintain an independent stance that neither party adopts.

This guy is going to lose.
What an unusual situation: the NYT reports Marshall filmed the ad personally against the advice of his campaign team. Then his staff still refused to air it, so he personally sent it around to media folks to share it: nytimes.com/2026/11/01/us/el…

I hope El Sayed wins. If he does, it will be a victory over this kind of hate. His willingness to listen to critics and acknowledge his imperfections (unlike Rogers) also suggests he can play a constructive role in healing the divisions haters on all sides are trying to exploit.

Supporting a political party and candidates (in Michigan and elsewhere) whose entire 2026 campaign has been based on crude demonization of Muslim Americans, using the same nativist blood and soil arguments that are a foundation of antisemitism.

I have three statewide rating changes, all in favor of Democrats, which notably include moving the U.S. Senate race to Safe Democratic.

What Haley did today was unconscionable, beyond the pale. She has turned her back on everything we stood for after we were elected to Congress together β€” reproductive rights, civil and human rights, clean water-air-land energy, economic justice. 4/5

Abrams on Haley Stevens: She used black people as a prop in order to pursue an agenda of sore loserness. And having been someone who has not won everything, I thought it is deeply inappropriate to use anyone else to justify your behavior and to justify your dismay, She said he told her not to come to something. I've been asked not to come to things before. That doesn't mean that I then disavow my values
