The universe has been working hard rerouting me this whole year. I forgot to send my RSVP for our Thursday session so I missed last week. But because I missed it, I was able to finish my teaching portfolio. I submitted late because I started getting pedantic with formatting.
This is 1000% me. I don't sing at all compared to when I was young, but WHENEVER I get a chest/throat infection or hoarse throat that makes singing impossible, I am suddenly DEVASTATED that I can't sing. I want to have the option.
Replying to @textbookvillain
so the finger is healing, and then she started telling me how she’s been super depressed because she can’t play piano anymore and i’m like oh did you play regularly? and she’s just like “no but now I can’t even learn how!” this was 6:30AM btw. fascinating lady
A lot of them need to refine their brands. The misalignment of CPUT's logo pisses me off so badly. Plus they don't have any variations which is so backwards. DUT as well. Universities need to understand future-proofing.
I read a tweet about someone asking if genAI ceased to exist today, how would it change your life. I would need to go back to spending 8hrs renaming zipped folders of student submissions before. But at least I wouldn't need to read 3 paragraph emails from students anymore.

You’re in the entry point of impostor’s syndrome where you are exceptionally competent in what you do but you realise how much of what you don’t know and it makes you feel like you’re a fraud.
Give yourself grace.
It’s a process. A slow learning process.
Just learn 🩶
Data visualisation 101: WTF are there so many similar hues and saturations of blue? Is this meant to be super confusing AND ableist? Also, WHO IN 2026 (except 1st yrs) still uses R 0; B 0; G 255?
What this says to me is that one has to constantly check where you're registered even if you've never moved and that sounds like some fishy American-type shit you see on TV.
Kwasuka lokho, and she is likely not the only individual experiencing this issue. These are local elections meant to address the needs of residents within their own municipalities. Requiring her to vote in a different city for a mayor who will not represent her interests raises serious concerns about the effectiveness and fairness of the electoral process the IEC administers! @IECSouthAfrica, shame on you!
I packed in 2 phones, my Switch, Stanley, earphones, sunscreen and I didn't even queue long enough to catch ONE pokémon. Last time I went I stood in an eTV Anaconda of a line for 3-4hrs after my they led my mom in to vote and I put her in the car. She said miss me today it's hot.
For whoever is new here I was checking out of life for a solid 5yrs and I nearly made it happen at the beginning of 2022. These things remind me of how far I've come. It's a surprise every time. Look. I did the things.
Every year when I am at my lowest, my most stressssst and am absolutely so ready to never teach again, a smol group of students will honour me with an email or a poster or something thoughtful like this. The last time I saw them, I just got back from the US and I was in a state.
