Stating what you don't know is a strength, not a flaw.

So the imposter syndrome webinar sold out. I had to join the waitlist and did not get a place in the end. I knew I wasn’t worthy!

Enjoyed seeing Sophie Raworth at Off the Shelf festival last night

Policies need to be monitored. To not capture such information is an accountability fail, opens the door to policy breaches, and is poor governance. If this isn’t concerning to the organisation the policy is devalued. If the policy matters, invest in seeing how it is working.

Very detailed dream about the inside at the top of a lamp post. Weirdly included a pair of tweezers.

Coffee time discussions during the day / at end of shift seem a great way of capturing / consolidating learning.

I know people are disparaging about Christmas items in the shops but I am actually feeling quite prepared for Christmas right now.

Yonks ago the PIN I got from a bank was four of the same digit in a row. I still remember it because it was surprisingly simple. Like, is that a secure combo?

In military speak why are military jets always “scrambled”. Like beating eggs in a fluster. Why not just “called out”?

Not sure how I managed it but I made an online order and half of it is click and collect and half of it is being delivered. Annoying.

On a train the manager saw me stood on my chair and told me “do not stand on the seat”. I then explained what I was doing and why. She then said “ok, be careful”. It can be tricky to navigate such rules that seem absolute but actually are bendable.

Has anyone measured the impact of roadworks on footfall in an area? As in research and statistical modelling. So many local cafes blaming water company, local council etc for lack of customer and I really wonder if they are misattributing or overestimating the impact.

Got a quote with separate lines on. Enquired about some lines not others. Company surprised why not gone for whole thing. Because you said could do in stages and some of the lines look too pricey. Is it abnormal for customers to read line by line and try to negotiate?

Weirdest thing ever transported (internationally too!) in the tiny zip up pocket in my running shorts: a child's tooth.

Public transport systems should be easy to use. Not baffling to a first time user. And I don’t think they should depend on an app (or worse, multiple apps!) because not all riders have a smartphone and alternative app may well win out on usability (Uber etc).

Local councillor complaining that a minor, steep road going through greenbelt is repeatedly closed to through traffic by agencies that don’t work together. My view: closing this road actually helpful, it should not be a rat run.

Dreamt about being in the audience on Countdown

Interesting exercise seeing when emails are sent and the times when replies are sent relatively quickly.

How many medical diagnoses lack a treatment? Is diagnosis pointless in these cases?

Spent £12.34 in a shop. A pleasing total.
