Eagle Mountain Knight Basketball

Eagle Mountain head coach Scott Richardson is building his program around maintaining a high standard in everything they do. For Richardson, that standard starts with the smallest details — from how players take care of the locker room and team bus to how they approach practice, the weight room and eventually game day. “How you do anything is how you do everything.” Richardson wants those daily habits to become part of the program’s identity, creating an expectation that everything Eagle Mountain does is done with purpose and at a high level. “No matter what it is we’re doing, we do it at a high level.”

For Eagle Mountain head coach Scott Richardson, becoming the coach he is today has been shaped by the people and competition he encountered throughout his journey. Richardson believes competing against high-level programs and making playoff runs gave him opportunities to learn firsthand from some of the best. “When you make playoff runs, or as you spend time going as a coach, you get an opportunity to go up against the best, and those guys will teach you.” Just as important were the experienced coaches who invested in him when he was still finding his way in the profession. “When I was just a pup, you know, they took me under the wing and they coached me up.” Those relationships helped Richardson establish the foundation and principles he has carried with him throughout his career. “I was so lucky to have guys that did that early in my career, and I was able to build my career based on some of the right things.” Now Richardson has the opportunity to take everything he’s learned and pour it into the next generation while continuing to build the standard at Eagle Mountain.

Eagle Mountain Basketball gave college coaches plenty to watch at the Texas Basketball Event, with team highlights showcasing the skill, athleticism and playmaking throughout this group. Eagle Mountain stayed aggressive, getting downhill, creating opportunities in the open floor and showing multiple players capable of making an impact. The combination of young talent and competitive play made this another valuable opportunity for the Knights to put their roster in front of more eyes before the season tips off. Plenty of potential throughout an Eagle Mountain program continuing to build and establish itself. College coaches can track Eagle Mountain Basketball on the Revocruit software.
