We sincerely appreciate all of the relief volunteers in East Nashville today, but this aerial photo from this afternoon illustrates why folks are being asked to park on unimpacted streets. A debris collection truck would find it very difficult to do work here. #NashvilleStrong

Please be mindful when parking in neighborhoods impacted by the storm. It is critical for recovery efforts that emergency/repair vehicles have access to areas in need.

We’re all obviously heartbroken for everyone who lost their business or their home, but let’s not forget about Nashville’s homeless community after the tornado. Must have been terrifying to be outside for that & to lose what little shelter they may have had via tents, tarps, etc.

Give love, comfort, respect. Listen. Understand. Hearing about loss of life. Some families lost homes, students lost schools, workers lost businesses, let’s meet those needs whether they are tangible, emotional, spiritual. Together. Give to @redcross and @HONashville.

My read of the Trump executive order:
1) They have left clear grounds to keep separating families if they want.
2) They want to keep families together but indefinitely detained, which is currently illegal.
3) They want to make that not illegal.
