This Thursday evening, learn about how you can engage with governments on #AIforGood projects. @PracticalAIFM hosts @dwhitena & @chrisbenson will moderate a discussion with @datadanya, @emmartinez47 and @ArtimBedar. Register at rstats.ai/gov! #rstats | #rstatsdc
Is there a print option for tables like there is for a graph with plotly? #rstats

Just learned an amazing #rstats trick: You can embed #learnr apps using `knitr::include_app()` for live coding demos *inside* #xaringan slides! 🤯 This way you don't have to switch b/w slides and #rstudio IDE for live demos, reducing cognitive load. #rmarkdown knows no bounds! 🤩

Me encanta!
I had the privilege of interviewing @lapsleyyyy back in January (which feels like years ago!) about nearly quitting the music industry and her comeback second album #ThroughWater. She's just as smart and fun as you'd expect in person. Interview here: medium.com/@GabeFriedman563/…

I’m super excited to share my new #COVID19 info sheet. Starting this weekend, all patients @The_BMC will receive this as part of their discharge summary! Individual images in the thread below👇🏼

I've never used LaTeX, but have only ever heard nightmares about it. My advice for people in a similar position today who need to knit RMarkdown documents to PDF: 1) avoid LaTeX 2) use {pagedown} to knit to HTML and the chrome_print() function to convert to PDF

I've got a problem that I suspect others in the #rstats community have as well. How do you allow yourself to NOT automate everything? I get so focused on automating processes that I sometimes spend more time automating than I would doing them manually. Am I the only one?

I had the privilege of teaching a two-day workshop, Modern Geospatial Data Analysis with R, at the @rstudio conference with an amazing group of TAs and participants. I've made the slides available here: bit.ly/36WMUKe, #rstats, #rspatial, #gischat

You attention please: I just learned (from Picturing the Uncertain World by Wainer) that the French word for “pie chart” is “camembert.” My inner Francophile is loving this. Day made. 🤯😍🧀 🇫🇷 #dataviz

I share many of @gshotwell ’s sentiments and encourage everyone to read teapawt.org/gshotwell/status/12127… To add one additional thing that makes me reach for R over other tools: the community surrounding R is awesome. This didn't used to be the case (certainly not when I was cutting (1/5)
