Decent sized crowd at Kai Tak Youth tonight –
– and those are just the people watching for free. #hkpl #HKfootball
The difference between the typical Southeast Asian player and the typical HK player is self-confidence. They'll back themselves to score from distance, even if most of those shots don't end up in the back of the net.
When they see chances to shoot, they take it.
After the first month of the season, I'm not sure anyone could've expected Tai Po and Kowloon City to be in the Senior Shield semifinals. But that is what makes the Shield interesting, even if there is no continental competition attached to it.
Meanwhile, Kitchee's next opponents Phnom Penh Crown have six points and lead the group. Important set of fixtures coming up.
Told you PPC were good.
Kitchee would believe they deserve 3 points, but the inability to convert chances (except the almighty Everton!!!) and a horrendous mistake by GK Pong Cheuk-hei cost the Bluebirds their first Asian victory this season. #hkfootball
Possible November to remember (or forget) for fans next month.
1st: First #HKPL game at Kai Tak Youth
7th: The David Silva game (also possible first HKPL game at Kai Tak Youth)
13th: Guangdong-HK Cup Leg 1
16th: Guangdong-HK Cup Leg 2

Hong Kong upset Cambodia to win the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup Division 2. Massive test passed by Chino after a nearly a year of underwhelming performances since his tenure began. #HKfootball
A potential name has emerged for Sha Tin head coach: Tom Ballantyne. The Englishman ticks many of the boxes mentioned by Jim Wong:
* Coached at Cardiff + Villa youth
* Recently left post in Asia-ish country (Australia)
* Won trophies at previous gig

Officially official. Makes you wonder what his salary is and whether this is a sign that Rangers are prepared to spend more under president Michael Mok
Former Shangdong Taishan attacker, Matheus Pato is coming to town to join BC Rangers. #hkfootball #HKPL
Former Kitchee and Lee Man midfielder Mikael has been officially registered by Kowloon City and is eligible to play tomorrow against HKFC. #hkpl
Lester Chan retweeted
🇭🇰 Tai Po is more than a football club. It is a community.
Through unimaginable tragedy, financial uncertainty and another fight to rebuild, the Hong Kong side keeps carrying the name of its district onto the Asian stage.

Not saying it's an easy group for Kitchee, but it's not as bad as feared. Don't underestimate Phnom Penh Crown.
As for Tai Po...RIP

Had also heard a few months back that HKFC would have a new chest sponsor this season. #hkpl
One of #HKfootball 's great enigma's, Sergio Chiu, is expected to make his much anticipated return to the #HKPL this season.
