Israel is intertwined with Judaism. It’s not the same as Christianity and Islam. Israel is the central pillar of Judaism. You can never separate the two. One can not live without the other. Every prayer is connected to Israel. If you aren’t Jewish, you wouldn’t understand. And if you are Jewish and think it is not connected, you have probably never read the prayers or sat at the Seders.
Nobody will define our identity, but us. And us is the majority of Jews. Don’t tell US what Israel means to us. It isn’t just a country, it’s our heart.

Das was die Bild über den Abschlussbericht von Stade schreibt, ist heftig. Dass Fatih Gazioglu 21 mal geschossen hat, war ja schon bekannt.
Auch dass seine Frau Enise Ö. auf eine sterbende Sozialarbeiterin eingeschlagen hat, kursierte ja bereits in den Medien. Wahrscheinlich war sie aber zudem - das belegen wohl Schmauchspuren - auch bei der Hinrichtung (anders kann man das wohl nicht nennen) dabei.
Überraschendes auch bei der Rolle von Sylvia S. - diese war wohl einer der fünf (!) Geliebten von Fatih, ihm hörig und sein Mädchen für alles. Dass sie ihm vorsätzlich zur Flucht verhelfen wollte, halten die Ermittler immerhin für möglich.
Verwunderlich, dass es um die Fluchtwagenfahrerin von Stade bislang von öffentlicher Seite so ruhig geblieben ist.

Diese Leute glauben, dass islamische Länder des "globalen Südens" keine eigene Geschichte haben. Es ist ein kindlicher, naiver Blick. Sie sehen die negativen Ideologien diese Länder allein als Ergebnis von westlicher Unterdrückung, als wären die Länder vor der westlichen "Kolonialisierung" ein weißes Blatt gewesen, ein friedliches Paradies (so wie "Palästina"). Dass die Gesellschaft in diesen Ländern auch ganz ohne westlichen Einfluss zutiefst reaktionär und in Teilen expansiv sind, wird schlicht nicht wahrgenommen.
