had to come up with a quote of the day for tomorrow and was thinking of @ericawrites_’s poem in issue 3 of @celestitepoetry, so here we are ☺️💕

The poet’s Twitter handle and an MLA citation for the poem are on the side and bottom of the board respectively. The poem excerpt reads as follows: It is 8:10 here and I miss them. our beautiful togetherness, the way the dog always stood with her front legs up on my chair. Is she standing like that now? My sunset was two hours ago and life carries on, with me further away than I've ever been from my people or maybe the other way around.

Just got the kindest acceptance from @renreview for my poem “Language Arts & Crafts.” I’m excited to see this poem given a home. It’s been rattling around in my head since my sophomore year of high school — and it’s a fave of mine!

me going from the grammar police online as a teen always with proper sentences and correcting others' tyoos and grammar to absolutely not giving a fuck now as long as it's readable is character development. language isn't real!!! it's all made up!!!

thinking thoughts about heartstopper/alice oseman & how her prose work radio silence is very much about parasocial relationships with content creators being Catastrophic. i love the show, & i also hope she is doing ok. seems like a wonderful & conflicting time in a creator’s life

I had to evacuate my home yesterday due to extreme flooding. I’ve set up a temporary goal on the Kofi in case anyone is able to help. I don’t think I’ll be very active on here for the next couple days (or I will to distract myself, who knows). Love, April
