Many Christians today have traded following Jesus for re-creating a tame, moldable, silent jesus who is made in our image. We are His image bearers. Not the other way around. Understanding and believing this distinction radically transforms the way we live and how we serve.

If we feel the need to compromise to attract people, then we will definitely have to compromise to keep people. This can be dangerous in the church, in business, and in relationships. Don’t compromise on Truth. Hold fast to what is good, right, and honorable. #Philippians4:8

Leading from a position of power is far less effective than leading from a position of trust. When trust is strong, people will follow because they want to, not because they have to. #Trust #Leadership #StrongTeams @BlueSky_Kenya

Just like a healthy body has a healthy brain and heart, healthy teams have a healthy culture and strategy. 🤔 Check out my recent blog with @WinShapeTeams and share what you think. #Team #Health #Culture #Strategy teams.winshape.org/resource/…

“There’s a difference between having good intentions and being intentional.”-Britt Sims. What we actually do is far more important than what we hope to do. Hope is not a strategy. Being intentional implies purposeful action. We need more leaders and followers who are intentional.

Tolerance is not approving an opinion you do not hold. It's about treating the person --who's saying what you can powerfully disagree with--with respect, humility, and love.

Leaders, those we lead have to know that we want more for them than from them. When they know that, then we will get more from them. #Character #SelfLeadership #Belief #Behaviors #ServantLeadership #Leadership #Teamsmanship #Followership #Culture #Purpose #Impact @BlueSky_Kenya

Action based on weak or little insight will have weak power and little impact. Take the time to gain deeper insight so that our actions will be grounded in wisdom and have far greater power and impact. #Wisdom #SelfLeadership #ServantLeadership #Leadership #Impact @BlueSky_Kenya

There is a stark contrast between predictive listening and intuitive listening. Predictive listeners mind read and apply meaning before the speaker is finished (me 🤦🏼‍♂️). Intuitive listeners seek to understand the deeper meaning behind what is said.

Predictive listening rarely adds value. Intuitive listening always adds value. Agree or disagree? #Listening #Intuition #AddValue #ServantLeadership #Leadership #Teamsmanship #Followership @BlueSky_Kenya
