What fascinates me most about ancient Roman engineering is how something built centuries ago can still leave us amazed today. Looking at this underground water channel, I can’t help wondering about the people who designed and constructed it without modern machinery, computers, or advanced surveying tools. The Romans understood something fundamental about engineering: water could be moved efficiently by using gravity, carefully planned gradients, and durable construction. Their aqueduct systems supplied cities, baths, fountains, and households, becoming an essential part of urban life. What I find most impressive is the practical thinking behind such structures. This wasn’t architecture created merely to impress the eye; it served a real purpose and reflected a deep understanding of materials and water management. Ancient engineering reminds us that progress isn’t always about having the newest technology. Sometimes, it’s about understanding the basics so well that your work continues to inspire people nearly two millennia later.

Jason Miller is the White House employee who arranged a green card and visa for former Brazilian Presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro, with whom he works politically. Bolsonaro's father is in jail for trying to overthrow the Brazilian government. Miller is also refusing to make MANDATORY financial disclosures to a Florida court in the nine-year-old paternity case over the son he fathered with former Trump 2016 campaign senior advisor @AJDelgado13 when he was the Communications Director. Delgado won a confidential settlement from the Trump 2016 campaign for Miller's conduct toward her. But the former Trump 2016 Comms Director is only paying $38,000 annually in interim child support while his wife's daughter of the same age attends a $48,000 per year private school. Both children have special needs. Not coincidentally, those disclosures Miller is withholding would have to say how much he earned from Brazil. Earlier this year, Miller was on a $1.8 million contract to be a registered foreign agent of India. This is the same Jason Miller who was Donald Trump's senior political advisor in the 2024 campaign. He's making a boatload of cash, not filing disclosures anywhere, while working in the White House and possibly acting as a foreign agent. And Jason Miller also skipped out on a deposition in the case, in what I can only describe as a blatant attempt to forestall a final trial hearing in the nine-year-old case where he's been spending at least $300,000 a year in attorneys' fees to fight Delgado. This is who is in the Trump White House today. America First MAGA voters complained about open borders and criminals coming in from abroad, while Trump's team is working for the alleged criminals to give them golden tickets to come to America.

Patrick Stewart once met Sting on the set of DUNE (1984) without having any idea who he was. When Sting told him he was in a band called The Police, Stewart genuinely asked: “You play in a police band?” Sting was one of the biggest music stars in the world at the time. 😭

Patrick Stewart on Trump (2017): “You might say to me, well, you’re not an American, what has it got to do with you? The fact is when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. America I think is on the edge of a very bad flu infection and it’s because of the man who’s in the White House”

33-year-old Alex Klinner died in Trump’s war back in March. But since, 7 months later, Trump still isn’t calling it a war — his widow and their three small KIDS (7-month-old twins and a 2-year-old son) are being denied basic benefits. Because those are only available to soldiers who die in WARS — not “excursions.” I don’t ever want to hear from another Republican that their party “supports our troops.” You send them off to die, then desert them when they do.

Kentucky residents played a loud recording of the noise pollution from data centers to show its disruptive impact. Within seconds, county officials grew irritated and told them to “act like adults” and turn it off. The corrupt politicians who vote for and push these data centers onto our communities couldn’t handle the piercing sound for a few seconds, yet expect residents to live with it every day. Welcome to the USA, where politicians prioritize the bottom line of the corporations and billionaires that fund their campaigns over the needs of our people and communities.

My uncle spent 40 years as a high school teacher. Saved $250k in a modest nest egg. At 78, he developed dementia and needed memory care. The facility cost $8,500 a month. When his savings ran out after two and a half years, the social worker handed my cousin a stack of paperwork. She explained the rule: "Medicaid won't cover a single day until he has less than $2,000 in total liquid assets." He had to sell his car, cash out his remaining life insurance, and empty his checking account just to qualify for basic care. Forty years of discipline, erased down to two thousand dollars so he could die in a shared room. They don't let working class families leave a legacy. They make sure you die with zero before they hand you a safety net.

Aswan’s trench walls are covered in mysterious rounded scoops, uniform enough to be a signature. The mainstream explanation offered is pounding with dolerite. To prove this was the method, someone would need to cut one matching scoop with a dolerite ball, time it, publish the result. Where is that experiment?

A massive clinical trial evaluating 830 young children has confirmed that brushing a specialized liquid medication directly onto active dental caries can halt the progression of tooth decay. The noninvasive procedure completely eliminates the need for conventional dental drilling, local anesthetic injections, or sedative drugs during application, with each individual tooth requiring only a few seconds of contact to receive the full therapeutic dose. Known scientifically as silver diamine fluoride, or SDF, the experimental formulation successfully arrested the decay process in more than half of all treated lesions, whereas only about one-fifth of the lesions in the parallel placebo group spontaneously ceased worsening. Led by investigators at the University of Michigan, the Phase III study tested a 38 percent concentration of the solution on children experiencing advanced decay throughout their primary dentition. The young participants were randomly assigned to receive either the active chemical compound or an inactive placebo substance, with a secondary follow-up application administered six months into the protocol. The medicine relies on a dual mechanism where the silver component aggressively neutralizes decay-causing oral bacteria and the fluoride component fortifies the remaining enamel and dentin matrix against further acid degradation. Instead of physically excavating compromised biological tissue to prepare a tooth for a standard composite or amalgam filling, the topical agent functions strictly to freeze the lesion in place, though it lacks the structural ability to regenerate missing parts of the tooth. Clinical deployment of the treatment involves a highly visible aesthetic compromise because the silver compound permanently oxidizes the active decay site, turning the internal walls of the cavity completely black. This profound discoloration poses cosmetic concerns that can be particularly striking when the medication is applied to anterior teeth near the front of the mouth. Nevertheless, the speed and ease of application provide a crucial therapeutic alternative for toddlers and young children who struggle to tolerate prolonged, high-anxiety traditional dental work, enabling providers to safely manage early childhood caries while delaying or bypassing invasive operational procedures. Parents and practitioners must recognize that the chemical approach does not resolve every single cavity and demands continuous, long-term monitoring. Certain treated structures will inevitably require subsequent structural fillings, crowns, or alternative restorative procedures to regain full functionality. Although this cost-effective technique has enjoyed extensive international utilization for several decades, the rigorous data published in JAMA Pediatrics provides the necessary foundational proof within the United States to highlight how a basic, brush-on solution can rapidly bring severe childhood decay under control across diverse populations. [Fontana, M., Moursi, A., Gonzalez-Cabezas, C., et al. (2026). Efficacy of Silver Diamine Fluoride on Young Children With Severe Early Childhood Caries: A Randomized Clinical Trial. JAMA Pediatrics, 180(9), 942. doi:10.1001/jamapediatrics.2026.2567]

Thank you, Emmanuel, for your condolences. Unfortunately, the death toll from the Russian strike on a commuter train in Dnipro has already risen to 14. And just a few hours ago, the Russians struck a residential neighborhood in Chernihiv with a drone and killed two girls. They were only 15 years old. In Kremenchuk, a Russian “shahed” struck an apartment building. Tragically, three people were killed. My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones. In these three attacks alone, 56 people have been reported injured, including 10 children. These are deliberate strikes against civilians, brazen in their cruelty, and the Russians are carrying them out right as the humanitarian operation in Oleshky is unfolding. Russia’s signals are clear – they want the war to continue, and everyone around the world must still work very hard to achieve major de-escalation through strong steps and appropriate pressure on the aggressor. Peace is needed – and for that to happen, Russia must end its war and terror.
