Right. The contract for earthmoving and vertical construction was let at the end of August and awarded to McNeil Construction, who conducted a small, unpublicized groundbreaking on Aug. 30, 1954.

Love that this trash can in World Of Disney looks like flat file drawers that animators would have had at the Walt Disney Studios. @MagicalTrash #Disneyland

First time walking from Mickey and Friends parking structure to Downtown Disney. Not rocket science on my part, but thinking that this curvy sky bridge will be similar to the upcoming one over Harbor Blvd. #Disneyland

One of the most OMG notes shared by @TomKMorris last night was that Disneyland truly didn’t break ground until closer to 10.5 months before opening, which makes it that much more incredible that it opened on the date that it did!😯

Sending you all a little Pooh! #Disneyland I was hoping to capture Melvin, Buff, and Max but it was too dark for my settings.

More Disneyland clothing that caught our eye today. I think the sage-colored sweatshirt with the vintage illustrations is a keeper.

Tried this pumpkin spice crispy treat from Pooh’s Corner. Had the slight cinnamon / spice taste nothing overwhelming. Rating: 8/10 #Disneyland.

Experienced Savi’s Workshop for the first time. They were offering “complimentary” services - meaning you could build but were not obligated to buy while they train new “Gatherers” Really enjoyed it the experience. #StarWars #Batuu
