The NYT and WaPo have largely ignored Trump’s decline, but once every 6-12 months the NYT’s Peter Baker does an in-depth article on Trump’s mental status. Here’s today’s as a gift article:

Early voting lines at the Montgomery County Board of Elections are an estimated 3 hour wait time as of 3 pm today.

This is purposeful voter suppression by Ohio Statehouse Republicans
They passed a law allowing only ONE early vote location per county, no matter the county size or population. They knew this would create lines in places like Cbus, Cincinnati, & Cleveland, but not rural areas

Major blunder in Maine blowing up tonight after Susan Collins inexplicably released an ad Thursday ridiculing loggers.
One logging association has already pulled their endorsement, with others expected to follow.
Jackson claiming it shows just how out of touch Collins has become after 30 years in DC..

Trump eases sanctions on Russia and begins buying Russian diesel. Days later, Musk restricts Starlink service in Ukraine, disrupting its military operations and its ability to defend itself.
And now we’re learning directly from Putin that Russia has been in contact with Musk.
How on earth did we get to this point? How is it possible that Musk can disrupt an American ally’s military operations whenever he chooses, maintain a clear line to the Kremlin, and face zero accountability to the American people or the U.S. government?
I want to know what Musk has been discussing with Russian officials, whether those conversations had anything to do with the Starlink disruptions, and what the Trump Administration knew.
Yesterday, Putin revealed that Russian authorities are "in close touch" with Elon Musk about the technology Ukraine needs to defend itself.
Our new report @TheAtlantic investigates how @elonmusk went from supporting Ukraine to coordinating with Moscow.

Two days out from Election Day, the @dallasnews ed board absolutely cooks Greg Abbott for abusing the law to continue hiding 1,400 "intimate and embarrassing emails" with Elon Musk from the public.

Irish Star: Trump wasted $5M to coat horse statues in 24-Karat gold. The statues appeared to melt in the Autumn sunshine, meaning 24-Karat gold was not used and it’s deteriorating after just mere months.
Five million dollars could have fed hungry kids.

A draft of an agenda suggests Boca Chica state park could be sold to Elon Musk’s SpaceX, but officials refuse to address how the item came to be. They will not discuss beyond saying it’s not coming up this month. They haven’t ruled out it could happen

Trump is dismantling the science system that made America a superpower. NIH has delayed or canceled over 2,000 grants on Alzheimer’s, cancer and more, NSF is withholding more than $1 billion, Energy lost over 1,000 scientists, and Pentagon labs lost 14% of their staff, which the Pentagon itself says could have grave consequences for defense. China is catching up while foreign Ph.D. applications drop 21%. We built this over 80 years, and it’s being gutted in under two. nytimes.com/2026/10/31/clima… #MedSky #LawSky #press #Science #NIH #NSF #Research #DOGE #China

Because why the hell wouldn’t it?

Q: If the administration has declared on waste and fraud, could you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, MN, when they company offered it to the state for $75m?
BESSENT: I don't know anything about that. That's a waste of our time.

Surprise, surprise: Trump, who routinely pardons fraudsters and presides over the most corrupt administration ever, has no interest in actually addressing waste, fraud, and abuse.
Apparently, fraud is only a problem when they can scapegoat Somali Minnesotans.
3 days to vote and put a check on Trump’s corruption.

Posting a meme of a Black man as the ultimate example of SNAP fraud is wild when Walmart has the largest number of workers on SNAP. The American people are basically subsidizing the workforce of a company that generates over 700 billion in revenue a year because they won’t pay their workers fair wages. THAT is the type of fraud that’s unfair to American taxpayers.

What does that mean? There's an undeniable Dem enthusiasm advantage, which we already knew. Paxton and Republicans are going to need a huge EDay to overcome what Talarico's already banked.
Alaska Voter: I saw that it showed incumbent and Republican for the current incumbent, I wasn't worried about it at all. People are smart enough to see it's labeled clearly. It's already been determined by our Supreme Court in Alaska. I wasn't worried about it

Just an official White House account publishing a clip in which the president calls for the prosecution his political opponents -- including the Senate Dem Leader and the lawyer who regularly defeats his voter suppression and election subversion schemes.
.@POTUS on the Alaska Senate fraud: "It's a Democrat con job... That really started with Schumer and Elias, the lawyer... I think they should be held criminally responsible."

Many Somalis came to Minnesota when Bush was president and Pawlenty was governor.
Both Republicans.
If Republicans are so angry about Somalis living in Minnesota, they should blame Bush and Pawlenty.
They were in charge when many of us arrived, and we’ll still be here long after Trump leaves office.
And who knows? One day, a Somali might even become governor of Minnesota.
And you’ll still be crying about Somalis.
