I’m interested in helping build a decentralized, community-owned alternative to the internet that remains usable during blackouts, censorship, or disasters, without relying on ISPs or centralized infrastructure. Ideally, it should be secure, private, portable, and expandable, with messaging and small file transfers as the priority. Would you recommend MeshCore, Meshtastic, Reticulum, or something else?

Buy the dip or wait for more blood? 🩸 Everyone says “buy when there’s fear,” but suddenly nobody wants to buy. So what’s stopping you? Do you actually believe in crypto long term, or only when the charts are green?

Maybe it’s time for closed communities. No AI, real humans only, and strict verification before joining. I’m getting tired of not knowing whether I’m talking to a person or just another bot.

I migrated my blog's code highlighting to diffs.com/highlights by Pierre. Then OpenAI acquired them. You're welcome, @pierrecomputer. Any other software you want me to start using so it gets acquired too?

Will we ever get another chance to buy the best cryptocurrency for under $1,000? Yes, I'm talking about $ZEC. Did we miss the opportunity, or is this just the beginning? What do you think? 👀

AI-generated games are mostly ugly, boring, unplayable slop. Everyone keeps saying AI is changing game development, so where are the good games? Prove me wrong. Show me ONE AI-generated game that's actually worth playing.

A reminder that AI still can't be trusted. Today, it implemented table pagination with a "Load more" button. It loads the first 50 results, then loads ALL the remaining results when you click "Load more". And sorting only works once everything is loaded. Brilliant.

I built Elseweb because I’m tired of how hard it is to find people’s own writing online. Everywhere I look, I see promoted articles, company blogs, and ads dressed up as something worth reading. I miss finding someone’s personal website and reading what they think, what they’re making, or what they’ve learned. That’s what I want Elseweb to help me find. Maybe you’re looking for the same thing. This is the first version. I have plenty of ideas for improvements and new features, but putting it out into the world gives me the motivation to keep building. Have a blog of your own? Suggest it on Elseweb so other people can find your writing. elseweb.net #SmallWeb

I genuinely have no idea why I'd want a touchscreen on a MacBook Pro.

Wanted simple self-hosting for a weekend project. Somehow ended up with Ansible, OpenTofu, signed deploys and way more security than I need. It's fun.

Looking for a local AI agent orchestration tool. The workflow I want: 🧠 Agent A → Investigate & plan 💻 Agent B → Implement 🔍 Agent A → Review 🔧 Agent B → Fix 🔁 Repeat until approved Requirements: 100% local orchestration External agents (Claude Code, Codex) Anyone?

Just installed Halloy and connected to IRC for the first time in... I have no idea how long. Are people still chatting there, or is everyone just idling with their away message set since 2005? 👀

Why does Firefox need access to Google Chrome's files? Are they spying on each other now? 😂

Is GitHub Copilot (Desktop) really that far behind Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor/Grok, and Devin, or is it just my bubble? Anyone actually prefer it?
