Seasonal good wishes from Essence Press x

A big thank you to everyone who made the amazing gathering and happening that was the @SmallPublishers 2024, esp @tothefields and all her team. Such a lot of planning, coordination & vision goes into the fair. So important for the small publishing community. Thank you! 🙏 💛

Just arrived from @derekbeaulieu @essencepress ~ the perfect beauty of idea and production. If at the Small Publishers Fair @SmallPublishers today/tomorrow, why not check out Essence Press in person (I would if I could!)
I will be showing two of my own new books @SmallPublishers that I think are the beginning of a series of works finding inspiration in my interest in Korean moon jars. Such mysterious, perfect yet imperfect objects.

Probably my favourite object in the British Museum is the Korean moon jar that belonged to Bernard Leach who entrusted it to Lucie Rie.

The perfect bookmarks with words from Nancy Campbell
Also launching at @SmallPublishers is a new set of two bookmarks with a text by Nancy Campbell taken from her @GuillemotPress book Uneasy Pieces.
‘A bookmark gives you freedom to forget, but also holds the promise of return.’

by Elżbieta Wójcik-Leese
Elżbieta will be at the fair both days, and at the Essence Press table to sign books on Friday 25 Oct at 11am.
