Most former roles of the iPod Touch have been filled (for quite some time) by the base-model iPad, the iPhone SE, or simply old hand-me-down iPhones. The “current” iPod Touch has the approximate guts of the iPhone 7 for $200. For reference, a refurb iPhone 7 costs ~$130 today.

I and others have recommended it for people with higher risk profiles as a way to e.g. have access to Signal without the possibility of sim tracking or surprise connections to untrusted networks. Don't know what would fill that gap now

LinkedIn is copying the contents of my clipboard every keystroke. IOS 14 allows users to see each paste notification. I’m on an IPad Pro and it’s copying from the clipboard of my MacBook Pro. Tik tok just got called out for this exact reason.

This crisis should teach people the real value of their fellow citizens. Key workers are not just the obvious but also supermarkets workers and delivery drivers etc. Many of our lower paid workers are finally being recognised. They are our real role models. Our everyday hero’s.
