Looking back at @SecGenNATO visit to 🇪🇪, a few messages resonate:
Allied security is inseparable - NATO will defend every inch of its territory, be it near Paris or Tallinn.
Hybrid - attribute and impose costs.
🇺🇦 - keep up the support.
Unity - all for one, one for all.
Knowledge is power, indeed.
With their intellectual firepower and hard-earned experience in the world of diplomacy, the Dream Team of 🇪🇪 Ambassadors is well placed to wield this power for the benefit of 🇪🇪 and Allied security.
#WeAreNATO
Knowledge is power. Collective knowledge is a superpower.
Hosted 🇪🇪 ambassadors to EU and NATO capitals for a day of briefings at @NATO HQ on keeping deterrence and defence strong, shifting more responsibility to European Allies and backing Ukraine against russian aggression.

Today, Estonia decided to contribute another €10 million through NATO’s PURL initiative, bringing our total contribution through this mechanism to €31 million.
This will help Ukraine obtain urgently needed air defence and ammunition. This year, Estonia’s military assistance to Ukraine amounts to 0.28% of our GDP.
Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have left hundreds of thousands without power. With winter approaching, this support is vital to protecting lives and keeping essential services running.
The stronger Ukraine can defend itself, the less Russia can dictate the terms of peace.
We must keep supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

Germany is our trusted Ally and friend. We’re glad that from December, German fighter jets will help protect Estonian skies as part of @NATO’s Air Defence mission. 🇪🇪🇩🇪
Defence Minister Martin Herem had a great meeting with German Ambassador Jan Scheer to discuss regional security and defence cooperation in Estonia and across the Baltic Sea region. Through the 1st German-Dutch Corps, Germany plays a key role in NATO’s regional command.
They also discussed how to strengthen societal resilience and preparedness in the face of hybrid threats and raise public awareness.
We value Germany’s strong support for Ukraine and our close cooperation in safeguarding our shared security.

A pleasure to speak with Romania’s new Foreign Minister @DanNeculaescu today and congratulate him personally on his appointment! 🇷🇴
I reiterated that Estonia stands in full solidarity with Romania and all other partners along the Black Sea in light of Russia’s attacks. I was glad that Dan highlighted the importance of closer coordination between NATO Allies in the Black Sea and Baltic Sea regions.
I also thanked Romania for its swift response in May, when a Romanian F-16 shot down a drone in Estonian airspace. A concrete example of Allied solidarity.
Looking forward to welcoming you to Estonia, Dan!

Operation Cabrit is a key part of NATO’s deterrence and defence in Estonia. British troops have stood alongside Estonian and Allied forces here for almost a decade, with the 10-year milestone approaching next spring. 🇪🇪🇬🇧
The UK’s 4th Brigade is also maintained at high readiness in the United Kingdom, ready to reinforce Estonia if needed.

Collective defence depends not only on the forces Allies have, but also on how quickly and effectively they can be received and integrated into joint operations.
After four months of assessment, @NATO’s headquarters element in Estonia has successfully passed its evaluation, demonstrating its readiness, capabilities and ability to work with higher NATO headquarters.

NATO has consistently demonstrated its readiness to defend every inch of Allied territory.
To ensure this remains true in the years ahead, we discussed today in Tallinn with @SecGenNATO Mark Rutte how to turn growing defence investments into real capabilities and keep NATO’s deterrence and defence strong.
We also discussed support for Ukraine. A just and lasting peace must be the goal, and Ukraine needs continued military assistance to defend itself against Russia’s aggression.
@NATO’s PURL mechanism remains crucial, and Estonia will contribute an additional €10 million to Ukraine through this initiative.
