It’s squeaky bum time again. 12 weekly blood tests tomorrow and then results on Tuesday. Hopefully the PSA has remained undetectable and my liver function has improved rather than having got worse but anxiety levels are ramping up now #prostatecancer

It should seriously frighten United fans that Wilcox and Berrada will now choose Manchester United’s new manager. After Ten Hag, Amorim and now Carrick, they are serial failures, out of their depth and clueless about what is needed.
That was hard to watch Michael Carrick interviewed after the match. @ManUtd and the W⚓️ #GlazersAndIneosOut have let him down so badly as have the players
Very sad! @ManUtd awful. Rotten from the top. Too much player power. Inevitable lack of investment in defenders showing why it was needed. So upsetting seeing Carrick looking so beaten and what looked like saying his farewells to the fans. Get the #GlazersAndIneosOut
Delighted about this partnership between @TackleProstate and TWC providing bins for boys!
What a bloody fantastic result. Well done @NeilGibson22 and the boys

The right are furious with Burnham over Gogglebox because they can't understand why someone would do something when there's nothing in it for them
Next Saturday at @altrinchamfc Vs @officialcufc I’ve arranged for the players to warm up in @ProstateUK and @prostateunited shirts and also a bucket collection for PCUK. Very apt given that one of their ex players, Dean Walling, has sadly been diagnosed with prostate cancer
A return to some gentle jogging after 3 weeks off. Jogged about half and power walked the rest. Back and ribs still sore and still not feeling 100%
Responses to this are class and really show the disconnect with fans #GlazersAndRatCliffeOut

Now would be a good time to remind everyone of these Trump facts, because apparently some people still need the refresher.
Please meet the President of the United States:
Flew on Epstein’s plane at least seven times. Just friends, I guess.
Pleaded the Fifth more than 400 times in a single deposition. Nothing says “innocent” like refusing to answer a single question about your own business.
34 felony convictions. A record most people would call disqualifying. And 91 criminal charges.
Accused of sexual misconduct or assault by at least 26 women. But sure, tell me again how he’s a great guy.
6 corporate bankruptcies. The self proclaimed greatest businessman alive somehow keeps running out of money.
5 draft deferments. Funny how the toughest guy in the room never actually showed up for duty.
4 criminal indictments. Not two. Not three. Four.
2 impeachments. A club of exactly one president.
2 of his own companies convicted of criminal tax fraud. Convicted. Not accused. Convicted.
1 fake university shut down. 1 fake charity shut down.
Even his charity was a grift.
Paid 25 million dollars to settle the Trump University fraud lawsuit because scamming people who believed in you costs money eventually.
Ordered to pay 5 million dollars in the first E Jean Carroll sexual abuse verdict, then hit with 83.3 million more in the second.
A jury said it twice so nobody could pretend it was a fluke.
Ordered to pay 2 million dollars for looting his own so called charity.
Stealing from a charity with his own name on it.
Found liable for business fraud and originally slapped with a penalty topping 450 million dollars, later thrown out on appeal while the fraud finding itself stuck to him anyway.
First president in modern history to increase the deficit every single year of a full term. Fiscal responsibility, apparently, was always just a talking point.
Kept the debt to GDP ratio above 100 percent for his entire first term.
Presided over the largest single day point drop in Dow Jones history at the time. So much for the guy who claimed to be a genius with money.
Set the record for the longest government shutdown in US history in his first term at 35 days, then couldn’t resist beating his own miserable record in his second term with a 43 day shutdown, followed by yet another shutdown just months later. Encore nobody asked for.
Added roughly 2.25 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first year back in office alone, pushing the debt past 39 trillion dollars.
Somebody remind me who the party of fiscal discipline is again.
Pushed through the largest defense budget increase since World War Two while the debt kept climbing anyway.
Purged more than 300,000 federal employees in his first year back.
Efficient, if your goal is chaos.
Pardoned nearly 1,600 January 6 Capitol rioters.
At least 40 of those pardoned rioters have already been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes since walking free. Shocking absolutely nobody.
His family’s crypto ventures, including a meme coin and World Liberty Financial, pulled in more than 1.4 billion dollars in disclosed earnings while he sat in the Oval Office.
Draining the swamp was apparently code for filling his own pockets.
Sent the National Guard into American cities at a cost of nearly 500 million taxpayer dollars in 2025 alone.
His own tariffs are projected to cost the average American household more than 2,500 dollars this year.
You’re paying for this. Not China. You.
No more foreign wars. Peace deal with Russia and Ukraine on Day One.
None of this is a conspiracy theory, a rumor, or something you saw in a group chat.
It is the actual, documented record, sitting in plain sight for anyone willing to look.
So the next time someone tells you to relax and give him a chance, ask them how many more indictments, judgments, and shutdown records he needs to rack up before that chance runs out.

“Why do some British people dislike Donald Trump?”
Nate White, an eloquent and witty English writer, gave this magnificent answer:
Trump lacks certain qualities that the British traditionally value.
He has no nobility, no charm, no composure, no gravitas, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour, and no grace — qualities with which, strangely enough, his predecessor, Mr Obama, was abundantly blessed.
Although Trump may be ridiculous, he has never said anything ironic, amusing, or even remotely funny — not once, ever. I do not mean this rhetorically. I mean it literally: never. To the British, a lack of humour is almost inhuman.
But with Trump, it is a fact. He does not even seem to understand what a joke is. To him, a joke is a crude remark, an illiterate insult, an act of casual cruelty.
Trump is like a troll: he never laughs or enjoys himself; he merely squeals with delight or derision.
And the most frightening thing is that he does not merely utter crude and stupid insults: he actually means them. His mind is nothing more than a robotic algorithm of petty prejudices and instinctive malice.
There is no irony in him, no complexity, no subtlety, no depth. Everything is superficial. What we see is a man without an inner world, without a soul.
In Britain, we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are courageous underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist.
Trump is neither courageous nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite.
He is not even merely a spoiled rich boy or a greedy fat cat. He is more like a giant white slug, a privileged Jabba the Hutt.
And, worse still, he is a bully.
When he finds himself among other bullies, he suddenly becomes a whining lackey.
He punches down — something a gentleman should never, could never, and must never do — and every blow he delivers is below the belt. He particularly enjoys attacking the vulnerable or the voiceless, and he kicks them when they are down.
That is why the fact that a substantial minority — perhaps a third — of Americans watch what he does, listen to what he says, and then think, “Yes, he seems like my kind of guy,” is a source of bewilderment and profound distress to the British.
After all, it is impossible to read a single tweet of his or hear him utter a sentence or two without staring into the abyss. He turns shallowness into an art form. He is the Picasso of pettiness, the Shakespeare of shit. His flaws are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on to infinity.
There have always been stupid people in the world, and villains have never been in short supply either. But rarely has stupidity been so evil, or evil so stupid.
He makes Nixon seem trustworthy and George W. Bush seem intelligent.
If Frankenstein had decided to create a monster composed entirely of human flaws, he would have created Trump, and the remorseful Dr Frankenstein would have cried out in despair, “My God, what have I created?”
If an idiot were a television show, Trump would be the entire set.

Russia is pursuing one of its strategic objectives: forcing Ukrainians to leave their own country. And we are already witnessing the devastating consequences of this war.
According to estimates attributed to the Ptoukha Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the population living in Ukrainian government-controlled territory has fallen to approximately 28.5 million people.
One of the main drivers of this demographic decline is forced migration abroad.
Millions of Ukrainians have left their homes not because they wanted to abandon their homeland, but because Russia has made their lives unsafe.
And today, October 22, we are once again witnessing what this means in practice.
KYIV. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russia used, among other weapons, three ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads against the capital overnight.
One of these missiles struck the Pechersk district, in the area between the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Holy Presentation Monastery.
Monastery buildings, residential homes, shops, cafés, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
The President emphasized that there were no military facilities nearby.
LOZOVA, KHARKIV REGION. A Russian strike hit a civilian market. According to local authorities, two people were killed and 34 others were injured.
These people were simply living their lives.
Some were buying groceries. Others were working. Some were planning to return home to their families.
But for some, this ordinary day became their last.
And all of this is happening against the backdrop of systematic attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
According to Zelenskyy, more than 170 strikes have hit critical energy facilities since October 11.
Russia has already identified priority targets for further attacks on Ukraine in the coming weeks, the President warned, citing Ukrainian intelligence.
He also stated that Russia appears to be exploiting delays in the delivery of air defence systems from international partners.
And this raises a question the international community cannot afford to ignore.
What do humanity and peace mean when millions of people are forced to flee their own country, while those who remain risk being killed every day — in their homes, on the streets, or at a local market?
Destroying energy infrastructure is not simply about cutting off electricity.
It means hospitals, heating, water supplies, jobs, schools, and the ability to survive the winter.
Every new attack deepens Ukraine’s humanitarian and demographic crisis.
We are not simply talking about population decline in statistical reports.
We are talking about children growing up far from home, families separated by borders, lives lost, children who may never be born, and generations whose futures are being reshaped by war.
The forced displacement of millions of people, the destruction of the conditions necessary for everyday life, and Ukraine’s long-term demographic decline are consequences of Russian aggression that cannot be ignored in any discussion of peace.
Peace is not simply silence after the last explosion.
It is the right to live in your own country.
The right to return home.
The right to have children, to work, to study, to grow old, and to build a future without the fear of being killed.
And if the international community truly speaks of humanity, it must speak not only about ending hostilities, but also about protecting people, restoring the conditions necessary for life, and ensuring accountability for the crimes committed.
Because what is the meaning of peace if people can no longer live on their own land?

KYIV UNDER BALLISTIC MISSILE ATTACK. AND EUROPE AND THE WORLD ARE STILL DEBATING PEACE.
On the night of October 21–22, Russia attacked Kyiv once again.
According to preliminary reports, approximately 30 missiles were launched in four waves:
• 10:07–10:10 PM
• 1:57–2:01 AM
• 2:58–3:07 AM
• 3:31–3:33 AM
There are reports of damage to residential buildings, Dormitory No. 7 of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, and a medical facility in the Pechersk district.
There are also reports of possible cluster warheads being used. These details still require official confirmation.
But one thing is already clear: civilians are once again enduring a night of Russian missile strikes.
WE NEED PROTECTION, NOT ANOTHER SPEECH ABOUT PEACE.
Ukraine needs Patriot air defence systems and enough interceptor missiles to protect our cities against ballistic threats.
We also need decisions that strengthen Ukraine’s defensive capabilities, including long-range weapons that can help deter further aggression.
I demand answers from the US administration: why are deliveries of critically needed defensive weapons not keeping pace with the scale of the threat facing Ukrainian cities?
But the problem goes much further.
While Russia bombards Ukraine, European democracies are also facing information operations, political polarization, and attempts to undermine public trust in democratic institutions.
Russian influence operations are a real threat. At the same time, not every protest in Europe is a Russian operation. Identifying interference requires investigating specific networks, funding, information campaigns, and the mechanisms through which narratives spread.
This is how hybrid threats work: military pressure is combined with efforts to weaken the political unity of those opposing the aggressor.
And in the middle of all this, we hear statements describing Putin as a “humanitarian.”
I want to ask: what does humanity mean when Ukrainian families spend their nights under ballistic missile attacks?
We are not doing enough to defend democracy against Russian aggression and interference.
And if democracies fail to learn how to protect their citizens, their information environments, and the international rules-based order at the same time, the cost of inaction will only continue to grow.
We are losing more than buildings. Our peace, security, freedom, and democracy are under threat.
I’m writing this from Kyiv.
And I want the world to finally understand: for us, this is not abstract geopolitics.
THIS IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH.

I'll be speaking at EMUC26 on 7th November in plenary session 8 from 14:00-15:30.
I'll be talking about Perspectives of Survivorship and, in particular, post diagnosis successes as well as under recognised challenges, at 15:10.
Como may be a decent team but Utd were utter shite! Yes, injuries are taking a toll but not competing in a CL match simply isn’t good enough
