Do people actually even know JJK S1 background art was outsourced to a different background art studio? Forget Junichi Higashi, studio Easter wasn't even associated with JJK until 0, everytime I see people hating on JJK S1 art direction, it's always Sunghoo Park's fault...

A short thread on why Boukyaku Battery looks so incredible, based on things I've noticed during my rewatch🧵 What makes it look so damn good is how deliberate the entire visual presentation feels. The show always has a particular clarity, but it never feels sterile or overly digital. It's a great example of how much art direction, colour design and compositing can elevate a TV anime. I'll try and break down its visual identity into a few different key points below.
