Paradoxically the interactive, iterative nature of data science is what makes it both especially difficult and also especially important to reproducibly automate the process. You need to be able to re-run your code over and over with small changes, to get your models right.

Red Mangrove trees (Rhizophora mangle) are pretty remarkable. Not only can they survive on saltwater alone, but they also grow in the ocean, pounding waves and all. The source of their superpowers? Prop roots! A thread: Pic: @CarltonWard

Once-in-a-lifetime vaccination #rolloutplan needs a big hand matching the supply and demand. #VaccineShortage #COVID19Vaccine

Our analysis of vaccinations and case trajectories across 22 global cities further illustrates how the pandemic is splitting into haves and have-nots: New York and London prepare to welcome tourists, a new wave of infections across India and LATAM nytimes.com/interactive/2021…

The Pandemic Has Split in Two (Published 2021)

Zero deaths in some cities. Thousands in others. The pandemic’s fault lines continue to widen as vaccines flow toward rich countries.

$BTC and $ETH both blew the socks off of our forecasts, casting doubt on every technique except, once again, Brownian Motion. The stochastic process consistently modeled the volatility, trend and contained the series within its bounds. #bitcoin #ethereum 1/3
