Easy way to tell if your lead magnet is actually good
You should be able to charge at LEAST $500 for it
That's a good lead magnet
If you don't feel that
Don’t even bother
Your free shit absolutely must be valuable
Evan Seech | Ads & Funnels retweeted
If you want to scale past 30kish/mo whatsoever
You absolutely MUST put a hard cap on delivery
Everything else needs to be sales calls, making ads posting content etc.
There is no way around it
And I'm speaking from 1st hand experience
About a year ago my whole day was fulfillment.
Like all day
Total death
I made the switch and the first couple weeks sucked ngl.
I capped fulfillment at 3 hours a day.
The rest of my day was only:
• Sales calls
• Making ads
• Filming and posting content
• Following up with the pipeline
I literally blocked it off on my calendar. Only a sales call can book over it.
Things were kind of a mess for a bit because the client work didn't get any smaller lol
But 3 hours a day forced me to see which stuff I had ZERO business doing myself.
Some of it went straight to an EA.
Copywriting was the big one.
I legit couldn't get the copy done inside my 3 hours.
So I hired my first copywriter (great find btw).
It sucks paying somebody at first for sure.
But it got me back so much time and WAY more revenue, because those hours went right back into ads and sales calls.
Now we're hitting copy bottlenecks again lol
So we're hiring more copywriters.
Just cap your fulfillment.
You'll find out real quick what can be outsourced.

There's no best way to charge clients as an agency...
Depends what you're trying to build
Retainer:
• For pods and fully systematized delivery
• Lower risk
• Still high upside just not as exponential
Performance:
• Volatile
• You live and die by how good you are
• AND how good the client's offer and closing are
• High risk but high upside
Hybrid:
• A base plus performance on top
• Usually a net rev share
• Base protects you and you still get the upside

Everyone tells you to “niche down”
And then you end up with people selling only to like concrete companies in the midwest with a sales team
Which is WAY too tight
My “niche” is just the problem we're good at solving
Which is making ads work
Find the problem you're good at solving and solve it for a bunch of people
Over time you'll naturally see who you like working with

We run some of the biggest ad accounts in B2B and coaching.
Ads only make you "f*ck you money" once you stop babysitting them.
I see it all the time
So many guys in our inner circle launch their ads and the next day will ask:
"What do I do with my time now?"
The easy thing to do is sit in the ads manager refreshing it all freakin day.
But if you ask me (or any serious advertiser worth their socks) I’m HARDLY inside the ad account.
My hours go into way more important shit.
So I walked our Inner Circle through my whole day on a group call, and I'm giving the recording away...
Inside:
1. A 5-10 min morning health check
2. My ad fatigue check every 4-5 days
3. My Friday stat pull routine and how we pick ONE bottleneck to fix
4. The 4-6 hour block I protect every day for ads and content
5. Calling no-shows once a month to ask why (it changed our pre-call emails)
6. Keeping 20-30 ads on reserve
7. My content KPIs, from YouTube videos per week to lead magnets
8. The night-before power list I've run for about 3 years
SO much value in this call

Just spend the money
I PROMISE YOU it comes back
I like watches and I like cars
Every time I check one of those boxes I want more stuff after it
And that's what keeps me going
Just don't be an idiot with it
There are very smart ways to buy watches. I don't lose money on any of mine
(the car I'll probably lose money on but that one was the exception🤣)
TL;DR:
Stay relatively within your means
But spend enough that it pushes you to want more

The first ads I ever ran were for my family's restaurant back in high school.
2 things from those ads that STILL go into every offer we work on today:
1. Make the ads entertaining
We ran a bunch of skit ads, meme ads, just really fun ads. They grabbed attention and kind of created these waves of attention.
2. Build a list you own
Text and email lists were HUGE for us. We ran a bunch of campaigns just to build up the email list and the text list. Most of the sales came after the fact from the email and text blasts.
Some things never change

18 rules I'd live by to hit 100k/mo with ~10-12 clients:
Hiring:
1. Hire an AMAZING #2 under you who you can hand things off to
2. Pay your A-players $7-10k a month
3. Step into sales and marketing yourself
4. Never spend less than $2-4k on a hire for high level work
Pricing:
5. Invest in a real lead gen mechanism
6. Stop relying off referrals
7. Charge enough to hire good people
8. Cheap clients = bad position to scale
9. Base + performance deals are my fav
10. Raising prices? Show them what the extra $ gets them
11. Some churn when you raise is fine
Who you sign:
12. First 10 min of a sales call: marketing or sales problem?
13. Sales problem = tell them to go fix sales
14. Bad offer they won't fix = instant no
15. Shitty attitude = no
Once they sign:
16. Stay on track of the data
17. Review your numbers every single week
18. BE HONEST WITH YOUR CLIENTS.

You can scale an agency WAY further than you think with a tiny team of freakin savages
Our agency does roughly 200-250K a month with 4 full-time people.
We just:
• got rid of your bottomfeeder clients
• signed fewer, bigger clients
• hired a few people who are REALLY good
• let them cook
Efficiency maxxxxing

After spending millions upon millions on Meta ads...
There's 1 creative strategy we run on every single account:
It lets us launch less ads that scale for a LONG time.
A vast majority of people's creative strategy right now is just chucking as many ads at the algorithm as humanly possible.
Like 100 ads a week.
Same red background and white text with "number one" swapped for "best" 😂
Meta doesn't want slop.
All that volume just confuses it.
Your budget gets spread thin and the account turns into a freaking ball of yarn nobody can figure out.
Every ad you launch should be built for a specific person and have ONE job.
Do that and you need way less of them.
It's called the Swarm Ad Strategy.
I coined it and it freaking works wonders
So I broke the whole thing down A to Z in one video.
Inside:
1. Why 100 near-identical ads a week confuses Meta
2. How to split one market into 2-4+ avatars
3. How many avatars to run under vs over $1,000 a day
4. The ONE job every ad has: top, middle or bottom of funnel
5. The topics and formats that rip at each stage
6. Judging at the campaign level, and letting it spend 3-7x your target cost per call first
7. Real ads off our board: skits, memes, flip charts, Loom walkthroughs
Want it?

I remember the day i decided to start my own biz
I worked at Adidas for one summer and HATED it
(i legit had to put $ into the till because the manager was stealing shit lol)
Haven't worked for anybody else since.
I knew the risk of going the business route too
No “stable salary”
Nothing coming in unless I go get it
But there's no cap on what I can go get
Fast forward now and the biz is clearing 200k months
Betting on yourself >>>

Zero to six figures a month cost me a lot of personal relationships.
Like a lot of them.
Work just became the center of things.
I said no to a ton of random stuff over the years.
My whole college career was basically me working on stuff.
I partied a little bit sure
But for the MOST part I was in my apartment working.
It also took a lot of development on the character end of things.
I simply had to become a different person and do a bunch of shit I was uncomfortable with:
• Spending 10k+ (and a fat chunk of my revenue) on 1 hire
• Sacking up and putting money on the table to ram ads when I didn't have much wiggle room
• Cutting off a LOT of people i used to interact with
Getting to six figures also forced me to focus on higher leverage stuff all day.
If you're not doing that all day you literally can't scale.
That's also why you have to hire people to take the rest.
So yeah it cost a lot.
But the old me played it safe and did everything himself.
That dude was never going to hit his goals

Calls are the devil
They just suck the time right out of you
Only calls I take now are consulting calls with our Inner Circle members and the odd client check-in
Pretty much everything else gets handled in Slack
A lot of client calls happen for literally no reason lol
Evan Seech | Ads & Funnels retweeted
Biggest thing you can do for yourself as a founder is to protect your best hours.
• Mornings = 4-5 hours of very intense, focused work on the highest leverage stuff
• Meetings get pushed toward the end of the day
Start of the day is when you've got the most energy
Spend em wisely now

We've run call funnels on 150+ ad accounts with small budgets
Here's how we get them consistent in 7 steps:
(works for any b2b/b2c offer)
Evan Seech | Ads & Funnels retweeted
"10-20 qualified calls guaranteed" is a terrible offer if you're trying to go upmarket.
Better prospects simply will not respond to it.
Someone spending $2,000 a day on ads wants to learn something from you first.
They wanna see:
- Some reputation
- Some proof
- That you get their exact problem
- Exactly how you'll solve it
So who do they trust more?
The guy whose ad actually taught them something.
That's why our middle of funnel ads all TEACH:
- Case study breakdowns (actually showing HOW)
- Whiteboard and vibe board ads
- Loom walkthroughs of a client's ad account
- Demos of a problem getting solved

It shocks me how scarce some people are with money
Like it takes them MONTHS to even kick ad spend up by $100-$300/day
You HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE A LIMITED EARNING WINDOW
Now is the BEST TIME to make money online
You can put money into ads
And get calls and clients out
You HAVE to hit the gas
Sack up and spend money
You cannot wait
Time is not on your side
Evan Seech | Ads & Funnels retweeted
Boring one
But these are 2 things we have done to protect our ad accounts from getting hit with a “verification wave” ban:
• Set up a passkey so Meta quits hitting you with the selfie check (a LOT of people flunk it and get locked out for good)
• ID-verify with support right now so they know a real human is behind the account
Both of these came straight from Meta reps and insiders.
Evan Seech | Ads & Funnels retweeted
EVERYTHING gets solved in your business
If you just sack up
And spend more money on ads
None of the measly $100/day stuff
Kick the spend up
