Here’s a great example of the “Evolut” strategy—in a slightly modified form: Booking.com, the world’s largest travel agency, isn’t trying to improve its service offerings here and there with AI tools; instead, it’s relying on AI-native “satellite companies” by investing in relevant startups.
We can assume that if this proves successful—that is, if one of the startups really takes off—this AI-native offering will be integrated into Booking.
