To celebrate Black August here is The Black Anarchist LinkTree that myself and @prxjectsyko worked on together: linktr.ee/BlackAnarchism?utm…
Yes of course this is part of the declaration for The Republic Of New Afrika and with that being said don’t make the foolish mistake of applying this broad criticism to everyone who uses the label New Afrikan:
Following up on @BreakingBrown show last night discussing how ppl deify certain leaders, did yall know the original declaration of New Afrika said “by the grace of Malcolm” which later got replaced with “the Grace of our Creator”
They literally referred to Malcolm like a deity

Do they? Intersectionality is a BLACK framework investigating the matrix of domination’s combinatorial effects. That doesn’t mean one variable doesn’t have greater sociopolitical causality than another over your life. Racism has MORE overall causal significance than homophobia.

Hip Hop is political! It’s Black Nationalist! It’s Pan African! It’s Islamic (5 Percent, NOI, & Orthodox).
are we just entirely forgetting black people here? or trans people? or any of the other marginalized groups of whom this expected?
palestine solidarity is extremely important but not to the extent that you neglect understanding and moving with any other liberation struggles.

No one is saying that as Black Folks we have to be perfect but unfortunately too many brothas and sistas are refusing to at least try to address queerphobia in the first place:

There’s really no sense in chiding black people whether they are faithful voters or abstinent. There is hardly a rational position for the black. All political decisions in a settler colony are anti black. All roads lead to hell

Ethnogenesis describes the formation of a new ethnic/cultural group through shared historical experience (here, the forced migration, slavery, and adaptation in the Americas). It does not require a unique shared genetic “lineage” or specific admixture pattern. Lineage in the genealogical/genetic sense is individual or family-specific. African Americans form a distinct ethnic group culturally and historically while retaining primarily African ancestral origins—the same logic applies to other diaspora populations.
The main reason that the term Black is placed in front of things such as Nationalism, Marxism, Anarchism, etc. is that without Black Historical Reality as a guide none of us would care about any of these things:

White folks, in particular, don't see Anti-Blackness and its consequences as violent because they benefit from the consequences of Anti-Blackness.
If they admit that Anti-Blackness is violent, they have to then admit their collaboration in the violence.
FBWIII will be respected! s/o to this scholar for quietly affirming the most controversial tenet in afropessimism: it’s critique of de- and post-colonial frameworks for their accounting of racial slavery by way of a ruse of an analogy btwn transgressed indigeneity and slaveness.

Black LGBT people are in a debacle where we live in a world that doubly wants to harm us. we aren’t seen as human because we’re Black and we’re seen as subhuman because we are not cishet. this complexity, this ontocide, cannot be solved by twitter diatribe

there is no afro-pessimist that isn’t, in the first instance, a critical/conflicted black feminist. critical black feminism preconditions afropessimism, as many of its leading theorists say. anyone calling themselves an afro-pessimist in opposition to black feminism is not one.

The lesson of intersectionality was never that all oppressions are structurally equal. No clue where people got that from.

I haven't heard anyone talk about in the case of Palestine, Netanyahu referencing “the children of light and dark” is straight out of the “dark continent” handbook of the white mans burden. An unambiguous dichotomy is always set up for these conquests: dark versus light (1/

Here’s a main takeaway from Afropessimism:
any real justice for Black people in this world would be the complete economic, social, psychic, spiritual undoing of the world as we know it. And that the existing tools we have for social transformation cannot readily meet the task.

Decolonization requires dismantling colonial institutions and we cannot accomplish this without developing alternatives. This is why studying history is so important because it provides a framework for what a society outside of the colonial structure looks like.
