Dear @NYCSchools no one wants to do remote learning— let kids and teachers have a snow day— we don’t need more time in front of computer screens. Also don’t assume parents can be around to help their kids with a full day of remote school. Signed NYC parents.

Such a privilege to have @JMacForFamilies and @HinaEsq in our Clinic seminar yesterday @LeitnerCenter @FordhamRaceLaw
Had a wonderful day with @HinaEsq at Fordham U today. We discussed international advocacy, specifically CERD - the students were very engaged - which is what made it so wonderful.

Sadly, CBC closing its China bureau after 40+ yrs in Beijing. In the 5 yrs I was there, official roadblocks made it increasingly difficult to report, and Beijing unresponsive in granting new visas to CBC. Still, being there remains best way to tell China story. Hope we’ll return

Happy Labour Day. Late last month a Hong Kong judge denied former union leader Carol Ng's bail application in part because her trade union work had given her international connections that could be used to "further the hostility against the authorities."
