A few weeks ago @Autodesk sent us a license audit.
Within 24 hours, we had our own BIM tool running.
1.5 million views later, we want to open source it.
But an MEP firm can't build architecture, structural, fire, and civil the way you need them built.
If we get real commitments from people in each of those disciplines, we'll do it.
Contractors, trades, developers, investors, licensed professionals. If you're cracked and you know how buildings actually get funded, designed, built, and operated, you're a good fit. Honestly, a blend of background is ideal, but we need that specialized domain knowledge.
We're not building another BIM tool.
We're making the whole design process real-time and collaborative, across every discipline, and preparing the foundations of vibe coding for AEC.
SaaS was never going to give us that. So we're building it.
@PermitZIP plans to be prompting 100% of our drawings into existence by Q2 2027.
We're a small business, but we've been building our own software since 2021.
Founding contributors get a look under the hood at how we wired it all up.
Help build the tools, and you and your firm get there with us.
If enough of you raise your hand, we'll open a private registration for founding contributors.

@Autodesk, want in? Could actually be fun!
This is what it feels to dial in the modeling system to finally make a faithful copy of Vittoriano! @manto_vincenzo

It's a phenomenon called value compression. Weare at the squeeze point of the inversion of value between software suppliers and software demand. It happened when weaving machines appeared, when power tools arrived to construction and now with AI commoditizing software. It's important to stay lean and mean.
I was having a pretty bad day. Been having massive headaches the last 4 days. Until y saw a fucking engineer singing about engines in china. @SledgeDev

@ex3dcom is doing a perfect job, and I admire his dedication to user feedback!
The Vittoriano was certainly a complex task, a neoclassical marble work measuring 130 m x 130 m x 80 m. I've seen some photogrammetry with 1.2 million triangles and 8 million vertices.
Keep pushing @ex3dcom !
I owe @manto_vincenzo an apology. But the task of making Vittoriano in 3d has come to be the greatest excuse for technological improvement of ex3d.com! The question is: How do you make a classical building with ultra complex geometry into a fully BIM compatible project. Well you redesign the engine to be fully supportive of complex parametrical NURBS and poligonal geometry and still be exportable to IFC! Thanks for the rabbit hole, Vicenzo!
