Concur. I think future historians will look back at this period with wonder--and not the good kind.

NEWS: I’m stepping down as host of All Things Considered and Sources & Methods.
25 yrs since I first set foot in this newsroom! I'll continue to contribute interviews; NPR remains a place where I can do the kind of work I came to journalism to do. Now, on to the next adventure.
Wait. What dentist? Was I whimpering with fear?

Thank you for hiring Mr. Scott Brick for the narration of your work. I can finally listen to your books. He brings life and warmth to the story.
My friend saw you at the dentist. 🦷 🤣

My favorite detective series. The best, I think, is "Roseanna," but they're all great.
Okay, who told you about my next book?
I gotta go @exlarson on this one. Guy could make the discovery of the paperclip into a can’t put down book.

I've always liked that phrase, "playing the man."
Lukacs's "Five Days" is excellent. For a really original take on Churchill I recommend David Lough's "No More Champagne: Churchill and His Money."

No apology necessary. But thanks all the same!
I owe @exlarson a huge apology. I didn't immediately grab "The Demon of Unrest" because I was told it compared Jan. 6 to the Civil War. I deserve much criticism in falling for that fake news. Finally reading it now. Fantastic stuff as always. Sorry, Mr. Larson.
