If you're a "creator" (cringe term): don't chase follower count... it's a trap.
You'll end up with a big audience of low-value people who don't know or care about you, and will shit on you if you do anything but give them more slop.
Try to do anything interesting, different, etc., and they won't get it. Or might even actively hate you for it!
You've probably seen this happen a million times with creators who tried to make even a small pivot after years, and their audience came after them with torches and pitchforks.
So just don't do it. If you happen to get a big audience, great - but don't chase it.
Making literally one new friend that's a cool person doing cool shit is worth more than 10,000 random, braindead people following you.
Follower count is nice for optics, I guess, but only dummies get dazzled by that.
