We get 2 of the 3 and I'm legit excited for a potential playoff run...and at a min, a very bright future.
...right now though lets just win the damn division for once...and be able to build from there.
I take this as a positive.
Find the hits AND the misses quick.
The worst possible thing is to have 'maybe we can develop' on your depth chart.
Keep rotating through those open spots until you find the hits. More shots == more hits.
A lot of the #Falcons top UDFAs from the summer have already been cut loose:
James Brockermeyer: released
Jack Velling: released
Carlos Allen Jr.: released
Cash Jones: released
Other than Vinny Anthony (plus Strand and DeWalt on the 53) the 2026 UDFA class has some hits, but mostly misses.
As much as it continues to feel like the sky is falling...there are only 18 teams with a better record than the Atlanta Falcons right now.
9 in the NFC...4 of which are only 1 game ahead.
So - yes it's an uphill battle from here but it's FAR from over!!!
I've been doing a 'Rip of the Day' series on YouTube for a little over a week now.
Mostly ripping Marvel Unlimited Cards, One Piece Cards, and various Football Cards so far -- b/c those are the types of cards I personally like/collect.

Finally put up a few more shelves to display some of my favorite players & cards around a few spots in the basement.
Most of these are worthless cards, just ones I like.
I switch them out randomly just b/c it's fun to go through & put up other cards I like every so often.
Atlanta Falcons floor is 'mid' & ceiling is 'playoffs'.
That's my personal opinion.
We have too much talent (coaching & players) to think we'll be bottom of the league.
You can also stop acting like our QB options aren't at least "mid" (maybe not stars but not worst-in-league)
A side project game I've been working...still a ways away from being "ready for release" but I'm happy with the progress so far.

But if Penix struggles...and we are out of contention, I think you have to give him at least a little look.
This is a take of someone that clearly didn't watch any Penix tape. He flat outplayed Sanders last year.
The only *legit* knock on Penix is injury history/potential.
Otherwise, he showed a lot of potential in what I would claim was a limited-by-the-OC-and-coaching-staff season.
