Five years teaching Technical Bitcoin in Spanish taught us this: language shouldn’t decide who gets to learn, and building Bitcoin well starts with its foundations.
A new name for a bigger mission.
Cryptography, math, software engineering, AI and critical thinking, in more languages and more countries, all built on the foundations Bitcoin taught us.
the coldcard incident got me looking into FROST and the risks of trusting a single hardware wallet.
that rabbit hole led me to @FrostsnapTech, and eventually, contributing to the project.
now i have three frostsnaps (they're absolutely beautiful) to learn and experiment with.
huge thanks to @sakak_musdom, @utxoclub and @LLFOURN. i'll be talking about these nonstop, brace yourselves hahaha

I read the ICEBERG paper and thought I'd try using threshold signatures in a mobile Lightning wallet.
Seeing the PoC on eclair was a W because I like building using @acinq_co code.
I called the wallet Bennu... because it's a classical inspiration to a Phoenix/@PhoenixWallet.
We were very impressed by how ICEBERG enabled threshold custody on the Lightning network. So we set out to build Bennu to be a mobile Lightning wallet with threshold custody.
Extending the work @nadav_kohen, @jesseposner, et al. did on @acinq_co's eclair, to lightning-kmp.
send @raizo_07 one prado, he is the youth leader we recognise in Kaduna. #APCTOPTOBOTTOM 🙏🏽🤣
We have spent hundreds of hours building as much as possible in-house to protect @FrostsnapTech customer data: our own checkout, order management, email receipts and fulfillment.
Our orders pass through our own software, not an ecommerce platform.

Announcing LayerTree: a new tree-based scaling solution for Bitcoin that permits O(1), independent of the number of users in the system: xitter.cf/lightning/status/21108…
A single UTXO can hold the balance of millions of users as an off-chain Merkle-sum tree.
Transaction introspection techniques permit batched exit from the system in a single transaction w/o any pre-signing: layertree.tech
Introducing LayerTree, a non-custodial scaling solution on bitcoin that connects to Lightning.
Using covenants, one UXTO can be shared by a million users. Any user can leave at any time in a single transaction. Users don't need to be online to receive. Funds never time out.
LayerTree is the next step in bringing bitcoin to billions.

is he not wanted by the EFCC? I don't understand.
Even after a whole day of visiting, dancing, and trekking with supporters, His excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello the White Lion still had the energy to run and climb a hill. Where does he get this strength and fitness from? He is not human. He is a lion.
This was yesterday in Adavi, I forgot to post it, but better late than never. Video credit: Evelyn Yusuff.
2027 is loading. The White Lion is coming.

Most people don't quit Bitcoin because it's too complicated. They quit because their first 10 minutes in a wallet felt confusing, risky, or both.
I looked at where beginners get stuck and found 3 friction points that keep showing up. None of them are about the technology. They're about how the wallet talks to a new person.
Swipe through. If you're building a product, this is for you. If you're a beginner, it'll help you know what to watch for 👇
