There are grain cart operators and there are guys that drive grain carts, I have the latter this afternoon 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Doing some upgrades where we live, of course they finally come to start the week I’m trying to catch up harvest thatI feel like I’m 2 weeks behind on. Wife was looking at options of things last night and commented “ you’re not really into this “ no I want to get harvest done
Buried his daughter a week ago because of cancer, he has helped me for several years after retiring, he just wanted alone time so we are doing cosmetic mowing. Mowing doesn’t always cost a fellow.
I’ve had the privilege to make a 3 hour round trip, pay several thousand dollars for corn head parts and then get to “ finish” cleaning up hex shaft and collar so it will actually go together as it should 😡

In my infinite wisdom I decided not to square bale 3rd cutting because it was mid 90’s, today we cut 4th cutting, just assumed September would be cooler 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Hosted our annual BS shop session yesterday, 22 producers talking about grazing , fencing, feed systems. Majority of time spent on virtual grazing collars. I see a lot of potential in managing some of our pasture better. This won’t be feasible for all the cows at present costs.
