Sayonara, Twitter.
Without notice you broke @tweetbot, @twitterrific, and other third-party clients after they spent years helping you build your ecosystem — with far better UIs than you could muster. Shame on you.

“Who is using iPhone 5 nowadays?”
Well, I am. So if I used Whatsapp (which I don’t), it would stop working in October.

Been told that Agile ppl are throwing away things like architectural thinking in pursuit of getting it out the door fast. I don't see how you can get it out the door fast without architectural thinking. Agile doesn't mean "don't think." It does require thinking in different ways.

There have been a lot of comments around this post from the Uber engineering team, highlighting the fact that some prior art here is misunderstood, with other ideas being presented as coming from Uber despite being well established prior art. #thread 1/17

"Microservices have become today's equivalent of 'nobody ever got fired for buying IBM', a common catchphrase back in the '80s, said Newman. With half of all the clients I have worked with, I have told them microservices are not for you."
