Possessions can tell us what we have, but they cannot tell us who we are.

Many people think Christianity is: I do whatever I want and however I want. And, God just exists to help me accomplish my dreams and goals. However, Biblical Christianity is: Jesus saves me from my self. And, I exist to do whatever God calls me to for His Kingdom and glory.

“Sitting in church on my 17th birthday, Christ came into my heart and changed me forever. I felt protected, connected and directed toward the path God had for me.” During his Hall of Fame induction speech, Drew Brees recalled giving his life to Jesus 🙌 vist.ly/5eae4

The Bible was written on three continents. Asia. Africa. Europe. In three languages. Hebrew. Aramaic. Greek. By over 40 different men: Shepherds. Kings. Prophets. Fishermen. A tax collector. A doctor. A tentmaker. Written in palaces and prisons. In deserts and cities. In freedom and in exile. Across roughly 1,500 years. 66 books. One continuous story: Creation. Fall. Redemption. Christ. Most of these writers never met. No committee planned it. No editor stitched it together. Yet it opens in a garden with the Tree of Life and closes in a garden with the Tree of Life. Different writers. Different centuries. Different cultures. One voice. Because behind the human hands was a divine Author. Men held the pens. But God wrote the story.

POWERFUL: #49ers QB Brock Purdy on his identity being Jesus Christ. “My identity is in Jesus… Being a QB, it’s been about, ‘All right, God, this is what I do. I am who You say I am’ I’ve allowed him to take over my life & He’s taken me to where He needs me. So now here we are”

I’ve heard the saying that “God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers.” But when I see the disciples that Jesus chose and suffered for His name sake, I don’t see Him choosing the “toughest soldiers”, as I learn about men and women in the past and even today who have laid down their lives for Jesus, once again I don’t see God choosing His “toughest soldiers.” But I see a strong and mighty God choosing weak men and woman, and empowering them by His Holy Spirit to face some of the toughest battles and be used for His glory. I once thought I was a “tough soldier” until I met Jesus, I then realized that I’m so weak without Him, and apart from Jesus I can’t do anything. I need Jesus daily. The only way that I can truly become who God wants me to be and truly do what God wants me to do, is not by my power not by my might, but only by The Spirit of The Living God. Thank you Jesus.

John Lennox has spent decades defending the Christian faith as a mathematician, philosopher, and apologist. But I’m not sure he’s ever said anything more beautiful than this.

Did you know that when an inmate on death row is euthanized by lethal injection they use potassium chloride but they also use an anesthetic and paralyzing agent to ease the pain of the potassium chloride. If they didn’t do that the person would feel themselves being burned alive from the inside…so it is a bit of mercy. Abortionists also use potassium Chloride directly into the hearts of babies they m*rder except they do not also use a paralyzing agent and anesthetic. The death row murderer is shown more mercy than a little tiny *innocent* baby.

I love this: #Saints rookie DT Christen Miller paid for the groceries of a woman who allowed him to go ahead of her in line. Miller told her: “My momma always taught me to do good deeds, and I’d like to bless you today. Please don’t take that blessing from me.” 🙏❤️🙏

Tim Tebow explains how to compete with someone for a job without secretly rooting for them to fail: “I would try to show up with the mindset of, ‘I’m competing with Chris Leak, but also for him as a team.’ I’m on his team, and he’s on the same team I’m on.” “When I get to go in the game, I’m trying to do good for him so he gets to come back on the field.” “We’re competing FOR each other.” “Average competitors, and I mean this more in mindset, not talent, want to beat someone when they’re weaker.” “Elite competitors want to beat people at their best.” “I want him to do good. I just want to do better. I’m going to root for him. I’m going to praise him. I’m going to encourage him. I’m going to want the best for him.” “Am I going to want to do great? Yes. But I’m going to choose to root for him. It’s a choice.” “It’s not always emotion. Your emotions, your pride and your ego, it can get to you. Fighting against it is a daily, moment-by-moment thing.”
