My 5yo daughter wanted money to buy a magazine, so I helped her make & sell cookies on our street last week. She sold a full £20 in one hour (£28k run-rate). At current startup multiples, her business is worth $12m before expansion. No dilution! So proud. 😇

Every company has reason to be, but I can’t help but feel that sometimes capital allocation is messed up: - VCs are going mental on 10 min grocery delivery: $290m raised by 1 company today. - Meanwhile, we announced $6m to give every cancer patient a fighting chance at survival. – at London, England

I keep seeing the line 'EU is having vaccine problems because it was too slow in negotiating contracts' repeated in 🇬🇧&🇺🇸 media. I want to push back on this narrative because I think it's missing where real EU-level mistakes lie. Let's review what happened in past year (🧵1/17)
