The Ferry Family has been business partners with the Steelers since The Chief founded the team. And our fandom is unrivaled. We are the longest season ticket holders for the black & gold. With the new season kicking off, we’re excited to cheer the toughest team in football again.
While we are proud of all of the contributions we’ve made during our first 100 years, we always keep our eye on the future. Including with our summer intern Ryleigh Marks, shown here touring UPMC Presby. Ryleigh studies electrical engineering at Pitt and will graduate in 2028.
Working on projects at Pittsburgh’s top family attractions is a fun part of what we do. The Polar Bear exhibit at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, and the Senator John Heinz History Center are among our favorites.
Our team has left a mark on Duquesne University’s campus over the last 100 years. Not just lighting academic and living spaces for the thousands of alumni and their family who have enjoyed time on the beautiful campus, but also with the Ferry Family Fountain on the Academic Walk.
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary this year, we’re commemorating our first century in business. For the past 100 years, Ferry Electric Company has proudly contributed to Western Pennsylvania.
Sports are intertwined with our city’s history. Not only are we huge fans, we’ve been a huge part of the stadiums and arenas where our teams play!
We have taken initiative in local LEED certified projects. Including a Gold Certification for the country’s first LEED CI project. Talk to us about how we can help you power your business greener and smarter. [email protected]
What’s one of the world’s most sustainable sources of light? The smile our teammates bring to the job. Shout-out to our employees for lighting Pittsburgh – in more ways than one.
Enhancing our corner of the world through lighting! St. Paul’s Cathedral in Oakland, the heart of the Pittsburgh Diocese. We even had a Ferry family wedding there!
The legacy of the Ferry family’s involvement with The Chimbote Foundation dates back to 1965. James J. Ferry visited the impoverished town of Chimbote in Peru and was moved by the basic life needs required for its residents to survive.
Here’s a #ThrowbackThursday to the Annual Chimbote Golf Tournament from beautiful South Hills Country Club. We donated our foursome to four local seminarians who enjoyed a delightful day.

Monday was the 21st Annual Chimbote Golf Outing, benefitting children and families in one of the poorest communities of Peru. This is a cause that Ferry Electric Company has supported for decades. Help by donating here.
