Ok let's talk about Polymarket vs Kalshi. Throughout election day, Kalshi was consistently around 3 percentage points below Polymarket for Democrats. This held on individual races and for overall balance of power. 3c is around the point where arbs are possible due to crossing two spreads and paying two fees. But also arbs are not going to be fully closed during a major election, because many of the accounts with capital would prefer to trade and hold positions rather than arb. (E.g. if you can buy Dem sweep at 95, that's a better use of funds than buying two positions 3c apart to make 1c profit.) Polymarket was more accurate. I tend to read this as retail using Kalshi much more and leading to less efficient pricing there.
