What frustrated me so much about the whole "debate" is that men were so insistent on it being a gooning thing when women dared to fantasize about a partner who cares for them, doesn't think periods are gross, and checks in on them regarding it.

To me, it just seems sweet and comforting to depict romantic partners this way when afab people have to deal with the stigma against periods and womens sexual health as a whole our entire lives. Wanting your partner to care about you isn't a fetish.
