I dare you, I double dare you to try and read the whole of this transcript of the most powerful man in the world...sheesh. he cannot even speak in whole sentences let alone consider complex topics. I dare you.
I could only make it halfway through this transcript before I had to stop.
Itβs almost unbelievable that this man is the President of the United States.
He rarely finishes a coherent thought. At one point, he actually says that all of his decisions βare correct ones.β His explanations of the national debt and basic economics are astonishingly muddled. And he makes false claim after false claim with absolute confidence. I can't tell if he's just doesnt care that he's lying or actually belives the lies himself.
Reading the transcriptβnot watching him, not hearing the delivery, just reading his actual wordsβis jarring.

We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.

Chapman's Ice Cream has just done something EVERY Canadian should know.
The largest ice cream company in Canada used to source fruit and nuts from American suppliers β for some, for over 30 years. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products.
So, what did Chapman's do?
π· They called Italy.
π· They called Spain.
π· They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers.
And the vice president said it perfectly:
"Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we're about to sign long-term deals with other countries β and the American companies that supply them will have nothing but their eyes to cry for."
Oh, and on top of ALL that? They're COLDing their prices so that the average Canadian doesn't have to spend a single cent more.
It's a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying: "The least we can do is make sure Canadians still have the means to buy ice cream."
That's what Canadian pride looks like.
