Gianni Infantino at the @theafcdotcom Extraordinary Congress 2026: "
“We have seen the transformation that Asian football, and as a consequence world football, has gone through in these years. It has become truly global. It has become for everyone, and this would not have been possible without a strong, a united, a committed Asia. And for this, I thank you very much.”
“Thanks to our joint success, we are able to invest much more in our Forward Programme, in our solidarity investments in every country, to build infrastructure, to create competitions, to make and build academies for children to perform, to play better, to have a path, to have a dream.”
"We've been able, thanks to the decision of the FIFA Council last week, to increase, of course, the grants for every member association.
“Before I started as FIFA President, each of you was receiving $1 million USD every four years. As of the 1st of January of next year, it will be $25 million USD...
“For you to be able to invest in the future of our game, all together, all united.”
