50ft.me So far, not much, but I'm easing in.

At any rate, I know there are still a lot of you out there that check in on me from time to time and I do appreciate it so I wanted to let anyone stopping through know where I may be these days.

I am on mastodon and may move over there but its like parachuting into the middle of an ocean. I have also started up on micro.blog which I really enjoy actually and may find a way to incorporate it into my main site as I have time.

Once I settle on a casual place to chat and share online Ill be sure to pop it into my profile here so anyone can follow along.

I'm still deciding where to go from here. I've always liked Twitter but more as its core concept. I feel like I've been using it since its SMS roots. I've attached the feed to my RSS to browse through accounts still sharing and may pop in to check messages from time to time.

First time jumping on twitter after the third party app collapse. I can echo what many have said about the platform. I cant really see myself enjoying using the bloated "official" app so while I wasn't really all that active here lately I will be even less so going forward.

Funny to be in a world where getting a new “phone” feels like having a new bit of kit in my camera bag.

I have one of the pro phones now, have not had one since the original x? Portrait mode still doesn’t like frizzy hair but that’s ok, wondering if it will ever be able to get that level of nuance. I look forward to seeing what I can do with these cameras over time though!

It’s a ‘put my entire music library of 20 years on shuffle’ kind of morning.

It’s why I’m so quiet on social media outlets or online in general these days. I do my best not to get sucked in but its important to check in with friends and I have not done that in forever. How is everyone? Hanging in there? I know there are a lot of heavy hearts tonight…

There is too much noise in this world for us to focus on healing, or even be able to listen and engage with each other. Information moves too quickly for anyone to keep up and its all coming AT us ALL the time. It takes so much out of me every day. I’m sure I’m not alone.

Any one else ever have trouble with the Touch ID button breaking on an iPad Air? I didn’t notice at first but a tiny crack through it made it useless and turns out its a $400+ repair and kills the resell value. Moral of the story, always buy AppleCare?

I miss the days when reviews and roundups were more than Amazon affiliate storefronts. Hard to find genuine recommendations anymore.
