Order books thinning while spot volume climbs is a classic pre-regime-shift setup.
I coined the Liquidity Absorption Ratio to track exactly this.
Short-term price action can stay choppy, but the bull cycle turn still seems intact. Cool indicator to watch going forward.

Introducing Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, the first three portfolios powered by BlackRock.
Ondo Intelligent Portfolios introduces a new onchain product category: curated investment portfolios delivered as single onchain transferable tokens.
The first three portfolios are based on portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo, marking the first time eligible onchain investors can access exposure to such strategies through a single token.
1. BLKHIon: Ondo High Income Powered by BlackRock
2. BLKDIGon: Ondo Diversified Growth Powered by BlackRock
3. BLKGRWon: Ondo High Growth Powered by BlackRock
Diversified, professionally constructed strategies have historically required brokerage accounts and traditional fund structures. Now, delivered as peer-to-peer transferable tokens from Ondo, these onchain portfolios become accessible to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions through the wallets, exchanges, and DeFi applications they already use.
“Tokenization creates new ways for portfolio strategies to be delivered through digital infrastructure. Diversified portfolio strategies can be incorporated into tokenized investment products, enabling eligible investors to access diversified allocations through a single instrument. It shows how established portfolio construction approaches can be delivered through new channels and technologies.” - Lisa O’Connor, Global Head of the Model Portfolio Solutions team and Co-CIO for Global Solutions within the Multi-Asset Strategies group at BlackRock
Ondo Intelligent Portfolios can unlock novel capabilities:
→ Programmatic rebalancing
→ Full composability with DeFi
→ Complete transparency onchain
→ Multiple asset classes in a single token
This is just the start for Ondo Intelligent Portfolios. The infrastructure is now in place for leading financial institutions to bring their asset allocation expertise onchain.

Sales friends, need your help sharing this.
Blockworks has hit an inflection point and we're scaling rapidly. Inbounds leads are hitting ATHs week after week (see chart).
We need amazing salespeople.
Deals run $100 - 500k+, selling to financial institutions, enterprises, fintechs, and crypto protocols.
You'll be a good fit if you:
> were top of the leaderboard at a tier one sales org
> believe deals die on zoom
> would rather fly to a maybe than email a yes
> have run a 9-stakeholder deal with no champion
> have handed a lead to a teammate bc they'd win it faster
> know the difference between pipeline and hope
> rebuilt a proposal at midnight because procurement moved the goalposts
> have spent a friday night on a deal that wasn't yours
> have flown to the client for a 45-min meeting
> have sold three complex products in one single contract
The role is full cycle, selling across the entire Blockworks platform.
Our systems are imperfect and our products ship fast. If you need clean lanes, this will frustrate you.
Title, base, and OTE range are based on seniority.
Target comp is $200 - 280k but we've had sellers make $600k, $700k, $800k in the past.
It's a remote role though preference given to those in NYC.

This is going to be the most important bitcoin webinar we've done in a year. Very excited about it. Sign-ups are free (below).
When we launched one of Europe's first Bitcoin ETPs back in 2020, the market was driven almost entirely by retail speculation.
Today, the landscape is fundamentally different. We are seeing a structural evolution toward the application layer. From Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization to institutional-grade infrastructure.
Why does this matter for your portfolio?
For wealth managers, allocators, and institutional investors, tracking these underlying adoption metrics is the difference between reacting to short-term headline noise and identifying true, long-term cycle transitions.
I’m glad to be back from the summer break and looking forward to diving into the data with Matt Hougan (CIO) and André Dragosch, PhD (Head of Research) in our Monthly Bitcoin Macro Investor Webinar.
This is what we will cover:
• Institutional Data: On-chain and market-structure metrics showing how institutional capital is actually positioning.
• Macro Signals: Clear indicators that historically confirmed the start of past bull cycles.
• Client-Ready Context: Clear frameworks to help you address digital asset allocation in your own client discussions.

Hyperliquid itself is responsible for most of the net taker HYPE flow that took price up almost 20% from the announcement even if its HYPE spot volumes are not as representative as they have been.
I'm excited to see what kind of follow through we'll have in the more mainstream channels (CEXs and ETFs).

🚨 TIPO COMPRAR BITCOIN A 100 DÓLARES!

Sad to see BitMex go. Some thoughts:
BitMex pioneered 100x perps in crypto back in 2014. Delivery futures existed before then, making Fridays hectic.
BTC deposits only, one chain only, withdrawals only once per day, through a multi-sig wallet. The constraints that seemed inconvenient kept them unhacked.
All four founders pled guilty to BSA violations a month before trial, after 18 months of fighting it. $10m fine each, home confinement. No one went to prison.
However, their business didn’t survive the “war on crypto” from the Biden admin.
Lastly, wind down appears orderly, users can withdrawals their assets. Respect to @CryptoHayes 🫡
Dear BitMEX Users,
Today, we share with a very heavy heart that BitMEX exchange will shut down its operations, effective 23 September 2026 at 04:00:00 UTC.
The owner and operator of BitMEX, HDR Global Trading Limited, has made the difficult decision to close operations following a strategic review of the business.
It may not look the same today, but we are proud of our 11+ year legacy and the role we played in shaping the crypto industry. We invented the 100x leverage perpetual swap, which for most of you, was the first step to your crypto trading journey. It is now the most traded financial product in the crypto industry, adopted by thousands of users and exchanges. And we remain proud of our robust security infrastructure, which has allowed us to maintain a flawless track record of 0 customer funds lost to hacks in our entire operating history.
We want to reassure you that your assets remain fully safe and under your control during this transition period. This announcement is just to give enough time to ensure a smooth withdrawal process for everyone.
From today we strongly encourage all users to close their positions and withdraw their funds as soon as convenient. For more details on the full process, please read our blog: bitmex.com/blog/bitmex-closu…
BitMEX was once home to some of the greatest traders today. Our team has dedicated tremendous effort and passion into building the platform into what it is, and we are glad to have reached some of you during your time with us. To everyone who has traded, supported, and grown alongside us - thank you for your trust over the last 11 years.

🇺🇸 One SEC decision wiped out $42 billion from crypto.
The SEC just delayed its plan to allow crypto versions of US stocks on regulated exchanges, and the crypto market started dumping on the news.
Bitcoin is down -2.14%, wiping out $33.8 billion from its market cap.
Ethereum is down -3.40%, wiping out $8.5 billion.
$320 million in longs were liquidated in just 60 minutes.
This decision is huge because if the SEC allowed this, it would have opened the door for trillions in traditional equity exposure to flow into crypto.

We experienced an outage at Coinbase last night, which is never acceptable. The root cause was a room overheating in an AWS datacenter when multiple chillers failed. We design our services to be redundant to downtime in any one AWS Availability Zone (AZ), and most of our systems worked this way last night, but not all.
Our centralized exchange did not. Exchanges have unique architectures that optimize for latency and co-location of clients. It is possible to make exchanges resistant to AZ failures, but this can introduce latency delays that are not desirable along with breaking customer co-location. Given this incident, we'll revisit these tradeoffs to ensure we're giving you the best possible venue to trade. At a minimum, the duration of an outage should be able to be reduced considerably when an AZ move is needed.
Thank you to the AWS and Coinbase teams for working through the night to mitigate the issue. We’ll share the detailed technical summary once it's ready.

The past few days have been intense, but I wanted to give some updates as we continue to work on this. Our priority is our users, and every decision we are making is aimed at an orderly return to normal market conditions and the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
Working around the clock, the team has made progress on multiple paths forward with several partners. The Arbitrum Security Council also recovered $70 million in ETH, which could meaningfully reduce the potential exposure, and multiple discussions and solutions are being considered. I am confident we will move towards a strong resolution.
Reviewing what happened and learning from it matters. But pointing fingers is not something that gets us to the other side of this.
Every bit of my energy right now is focused on the outcome for Aave users and the protocol. Aave has been my life's work, and this is an important moment for DeFi as much as it is for Aave. I am deeply grateful for the support and collaboration we have received from builders and partners across the industry.
We’ll get through this together and we’ll continue to publish updates on @aave as they happen.
The Arbitrum Security Council has taken emergency action to freeze the 30,766 ETH being held in the address on Arbitrum One that is connected to the KelpDAO exploit. The Security Council acted with input from law enforcement as to the exploiter’s identity, and, at all times, weighed its commitment to the security and integrity of the Arbitrum community without impacting any Arbitrum users or applications.
After significant technical diligence and deliberation, the Security Council identified and executed a technical approach to move funds to safety without affecting any other chain state or Arbitrum users.
As of April 20 11:26pm ET the funds have been successfully transferred to an intermediary frozen wallet. They are no longer accessible to the address that originally held the funds, and can only be moved by further action by Arbitrum governance, which will be coordinated with relevant parties.
