President Zelensky refusing to surrender 20% of his country to Russia is not an “obstacle.”
Russia demanding 20% of Ukraine is.

Tasmania's Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill deletes "homosexuality", "bisexuality" and "heterosexuality" from the Anti-Discrimination Act, and replaces them with attraction to a "gender".
The bill doesn't say what gender means.

At #BattleFest we discussed the forced marriage of LGB and TQI+ which Bev Jackson @BevJacksonAuth, co-founder of @AllianceLGB, described as equivalent to a union of vegans and chicken farmers. We all agreed we all want a divorce and to reclaim our history
Fantastic session on the Conversion Practices Bill at #BattleFest - unnecessary (most acts already illegal) & draconian legislation that could criminalise family relationships, have a chilling effect on free speech & introduce 'gender identity' & self-id into law by the back door
Packed session on Puberty Blockers at #BattleFest including Kate Barker from @AllianceLGB. The debate covered: many gender-distressed children turn out to be LGB, the self-hatred involved in children rejecting their bodies, & the lack of rigorous definitions & medical ethics

So where were all the transchildren before 2014?
Were they subject to genocide, or perhaps forced to live in their wrong body?
Or perhaps they were called tomboys, butch, gender non conforming, effeminate, gay, autistic? And then grew up to be healthy fulfilled adults?

Now the Taliban have gone even further😡
they have taken away Afghan women’s right to survive.
Taliban have even stripped women of access to contraception.
Birth control pills are banned.
Life-saving clinics are shut down.
The result? Women are dying.
Mothers are dying.

Men who claim to be women are a category of men, on the basis that they are men. Creating a category of men who are exempt from or above the law has been tried many times & always failed in exactly the ways you’d expect.
Making it a criminal offense for a woman (@doramoutot) to point this out gives the worst men in society a legal loophole to have power over & punish women. Only the bad men win.
So, after the US failed to kill Christa Pike, she is now 'receiving life-saving care' in hospital. Make sense to anyone? The only humane answer is to abolish the death penalty

Maybe the Green Party should make it easier for them to identify their members who go to synagogues. They could, say, force them to wear yellow stars?
🟢 EXCL: Green Party members risk being reported to the party for racism if they belong to “Zionist” synagogues, under plans to be voted on at the party conference this weekend
Green members decided against an amendment designed to protect Jewish members attending self-declared “Zionist” organisations, including synagogues and prayer groups, from reports of racism, at a party workshop last week discussing the motion
The motion in its current form sets out that “Zionism … will be treated as any other form of racism" - meaning members reported internally for “Zionism” could be made subjects of racism-related disciplinary procedures
In a recording of the meeting seen by @thetimes, Sam Alston, a Jewish member of the Oxford Greens, argued that making members face internal disciplinary procedures for attending synagogues that self-described as Zionist would be “indirect religious discrimination”
Alston added: “The reason we need this amendment is because, if the Green Party members vote down the idea that the synagogue membership should be protected and should be compatible with Green Party identity, it would be a terrible signal to send to Jewish members and I really think we are not going to do that.”
