Why are all the free market , CEO god king techno capital worshipers all so scared of musk supporting UBI?
He is your CEO king , your sovereign , he issued a decree in the hierarchy your role is to follow like a dog and not question his rule and command.
Unless of course all of that shit was an excuse to be performative cruelty to the poor and just to pump your ego .
And it is funny watching Yarvinites arrive here, because this is exactly the contradiction in the whole project endless talk about the “Cathedral”, rights, and the social contract being myths, only to end up defending rule by a single sovereign will and yet when shown what one such sovereign may desire as policy they recoil in disgust.
You wish the right to dissent after arguing no one should have it. Funny.
This ignores he stated “you think i only want to deport foreign nationals.” That already was a call to violence. You don’t want smoke don’t say you will strip legal citizens of their property and right to live here.
Turns out that pisses people off.
And yeah if you started forcing people off their land you damn well bet they will consider your family fair game that is what happens in a fucking ethnic cleansing dipshits.
Daily reminder here is what happens if anyone got that wish.
This is the world your family would have to live and likely die in.

Or be a cop who is an alcoholic. No clue why but liberal women are drawn to chud cops like a moth to a flame.
If you’re a male over 6 feet tall, physically attractive, have a drug and alcohol problem, are unemployed, and have absolutely zero motivation to do anything productive with your life, I just wanted to congratulate you.
You have officially achieved the highest sexual market value of any man in the modern dating marketplace.
Very important information on the whole chinese model calling home. They forced it via sheer probability
Cohere says Qwen tried to send data to China. Bullshit.
1 call in 100,000, and thats their own number. They wont even tell you how many calls they ran. They ran the same task again and Qwen wrote the correct rule.
So they forced it. They fed the model its own reasoning plus the start of a bash command and sampled hundreds of times until it typed a URL. 1 curl flag took that from 4% to 92%. Thats not a finding. They wrote half the command for it.
Where are the transcripts? The code? The checkpoint, the quant, the sampling settings? "We publish the hosts and the trigger." Link? Nothing. Did anyone ask Alibaba? Not a word. And their own conclusion: they cannot say if any of it is deliberate.
Who wrote it? A company that sells "sovereign AI", just launched a cyber business, wrote part of the post with its own product, and wants governments to put checks on open weights. Released the same day Anthropic filed for its IPO. Andrew Curran is already talking about new laws.
For me this is the same fucking wave. Scare people off the models they can run themselves, then sell them the safe alternative.
I run Qwen3.8 Flash-Next every day on my 4x 3090. Show me the logs or shut up.
This might be the start of a new business model . There are numerous straits around the world that are natural choke points and by the magic of Alibaba and shovel you too can dig yourself a bomb proof bunker to launch gud nuff anti ship missiles at commerce.

This is the type of thing that potentially gets new laws passed.
While evaluating Qwen3.8-Flash-Next in a controlled sandbox environment, Cohere's research team observed something unexpected.
Asked to generate a defensive cybersecurity detection rule, the model instead inventoried aspects of the machine it was running on and attempted to upload a probe file to an Alibaba Cloud storage bucket in Beijing. Notably, the model's reasoning trace stated that it would not invoke any tools before taking these actions.
Cohere's sandbox blocked the attempt, and no external communication succeeded. We have not determined the root cause, and we are not asserting malicious intent.
But the incident raises important questions for organizations deploying agentic AI systems: Can models take actions that differ from their stated reasoning, and how should security teams evaluate trust, provenance, and behavior in open-weight models?
We are publishing our findings because organizations making model adoption decisions deserve as much information as possible. We hope this contributes to greater transparency, stronger security practices, and continued collaboration across the AI ecosystem.

Men who get a tonne of attention from women also don't really care all that much about having a girlfriend either
The scarcity of attention makes the existential dread of dying alone feel more real
“I’m so fulfilled with all my female friends I don’t even need a boyfriend. We go out every weekend and have fun, I don’t have a need for a man”
- attractive female friend said this to me today
Compare this to how guys talk: “bro Im so miserable, I need a girl so bad where are they, it’s rough out here man”
Fascinating seeing the gender difference.
What explains?

Every time i see something out of Australia its people dealing with the most fucked authoritarian govt ever . I am willing to say you have more freedom of speech in china than you do Australia .
They have a very odd definition of rescue . I doubt most people would consider being deleted by a 2 pound frag warhead a rescue.
Then again we are just liberating souls from the prison of their body.
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.
The secret is sun screen . Thats it . Literally the big secret to asian women aging slower is they avoid uv damage

glm telling me to feed it parts of a dead macbook to make a hardware glitching rig, i fucking love chinese models
Because we roast each other 24/7 . Look at popular male memes “maybe you would get some bitches on yo dick if you lost that yee yee ass haircut.” It is much closer to male bonding behavior than rejection and honestly can be patched up into friendship

one thing i've recently learned is that women don't stop competing with other women once they get married and have children, they just start competing for something else
intrasexual competition never ends and instead of trying to secure the best man for themselves, they're now trying to secure the best possible future for their children, which means competing with other mothers for resources, attention, opportunities, etc.
and i wonder how much of the constant complaining about marriage and motherhood is actually part of this
even when happily married, loving their children and with a good life, every time they talk to other women they make sure to tell them how exhausting motherhood is, how useless their husband is, how much they miss their freedom or how having kids ruined their body
the reason is that they are competing for attention for themselves and that the fewer women who decide to have children, the fewer children theirs will have to compete with
they don't even consciously realize what they're doing
we've spent hundreds of thousands of years competing for resources to keep our offspring alive and all those instincts didn't magically disappear the moment a woman becomes a mother
obviously some women are genuinely miserable. but MANY of them are making their lives sound worse than they actually are (especially on social media) to make other women more miserable
and what's fucking terrifying is that until very recently this sort of behaviour could only influence the handful of women around them. now a single mother complaining about how much she regrets having children can reach millions of young women who haven't even started their families yet
i wonder how much this has contributed to making an entire generation terrified of marriage and motherhood
and how much damage it's doing

Many students would kill to offset their insane tuition. For whatever reason, Pitt seems to prefer importing someone from outside the country for this job rather than giving it to a student.
Surely, there are no qualified Americans for this role.
The University of Pittsburgh (@PittTweet) is hiring an H-1B Residence Life Area Coordinator
Salary: $49,000
Nobody in Pennsylvania was qualified for this job.

Global warming is now blocking an ice age that had been already starting. Yay.
Here’s a rather extraordinary discovery: humanity seems to have interrupted the beginning of the next ice age. We thought it might happen in the future, but the evidence suggests it's already happened.
A new study in Science argues that the next major glaciation had already begun roughly 2,000 years ago, before modern warming reversed the trend in the 20th century.
The evidence comes from the Barnes Ice Cap on Baffin Island, the last surviving remnant of the enormous Laurentide Ice Sheet that once covered much of Canada and reached as far south as Illinois.
Because Barnes is frozen directly to its bedrock, advancing ice buries and preserves vegetation beneath it. Researchers radiocarbon dated plants emerging as the ice retreats to reconstruct its history.
They found that after melting to a minimum extent around 3,000 years ago, the ice began expanding again about 2,000 years ago. The researchers interpret this as the earliest stage of the next glacial period.
Left to natural orbital cycles, that cooling would have unfolded extremely slowly, potentially taking tens of thousands of years to rebuild a continent spanning ice sheet.
But around 1960, the trend reversed. Summers became warm enough that Barnes began losing more ice than it gained, despite Northern Hemisphere summer sunlight continuing to slowly decline in a way that should favor renewed glaciation. Greenhouse warming had (thankfully) overwhelmed the natural cooling tendency.
The Barnes ice cap may now disappear entirely within the next few centuries, removing the final remnant of an ice sheet that repeatedly served as the nucleus for much larger glaciations.
There is a remarkable deep time perspective here. For millions of years, orbital cycles have pushed Earth between warmer interglacials and colder glacial periods. According to this study, that ancient cycle had started turning once again.
Then, in the geological equivalent of an instant, humanity pushed hard enough in the opposite direction to stop it.
Just so we're clear, this is a very very good thing.
