The average Ghanaian Christian is often taught to dismiss African Traditional Religion (ATR) without ever learning what it actually is, and even when they're being corrected, they think it's an opportunity to compare gods.
So let’s clarify a few things 👇🏾

Day Two of the Ghana Youth–Policy Dialogue Forum continued with youth-led working groups, shifting the conversation from identifying governance challenges to developing practical solutions.
Participants worked across three thematic groups covering youth participation and institutional accountability; digital democracy, AI and civic accountability; trust, political transitions and the democratic social contract; and Ghana’s constitutional review and youth participation in democratic reform.
The discussions examined barriers to meaningful youth participation, the role of digital tools in civic engagement, the factors shaping young people’s trust in public institutions, and opportunities to influence constitutional and institutional reforms.
Each group was tasked with developing practical recommendations grounded in the conversations from Day One and the morning’s policy dialogue. These contributions will feed into the Accra Youth Governance Roadmap, to be finalised and adopted on Day Three.
The focus was on moving beyond dialogue to actionable proposals that can strengthen youth participation, institutional accountability and democratic governance in Ghana and across Africa.

I think Muslims need to understand something uncomfortable.
Non-Muslims do not owe Muhammad their respect. They do not believe he was a prophet, and some do not even consider him a good man. You can disagree with them, but you cannot demand that they see him the way you do.
Your reverence for someone does not create an obligation for the rest of the world to revere him.
So, are we going to kill everyone who insults Muhammad, or are we going to learn to practise our religion in a world where not everyone shares our beliefs?
Because the world is not going to become Muslim just to protect our feelings.
We have two choices: learn to live with our differences or spend our lives fighting a world we cannot control.
You cannot force people to love your prophet by making them afraid to criticise him. You can only teach them to fear those who claim to love him.

JUSTICE FOR THE OBUASI SHTS GIRLS
Schools must be safe spaces for children, not places of fear.
Curious Minds Ghana stands with the young girls who have bravely come forward with allegations of sexual abuse at Obuasi SHTS by the headmaster meant to protect them. These allegations span years, with relevant stakeholders aware and failing to act.
We call on the @GhPoliceService, @ghana_service, the @moeghofficial, and all relevant stakeholders to act swiftly, arrest and prosecute the headmaster found culpable, hold accountable every official who looked away, and protect every survivor.
To the girls: we see you, we believe you, and we stand with you.
BELIEVE THEM. PROTECT THEM. ACT NOW.

Poor legal education has created a situation where everything is reduced to the legal, and illogical legal analogies are drawn.
Pocket lawyers think the presumption of innocence prevents administrative bodies from making findings and issuing administrative orders based on their own independent findings.
They think that a criminal trial is supposed to establish guilt before public institutions can make independent findings of wrongdoing by their members and employees.
They think that if a Ministry of Finance employee steals money from the ministry, the Ministry of Finance must wait for a court to convict the employee of theft before it can dismiss or suspend the employee.
I mock your ignorance.
There is no presumption of innocence outside a criminal trial. There is only due process and evidence.
Once there is evidence, public opinion can conclude. We don't need to wait for any court. The court plays a different role.

👨🏾🍳🇬🇭: disappointed but not surprised; at all.
Clearly for the NDC, It’s the same pattern of appointments and silence and there was no one left willing to treat the allegations as a reason to withhold power.
Gyampo, KKD, & now this.
@JDMahama, your party is moving as though it has no elders; morally upright ones for that matter. Shame on y’all!
The NDC has cleared the Obuasi SHTS headmaster to contest the position of constituency chairman.

Our retrogression as a nation in sports is such a tough pill to swallow. If I’m not mistaken around this era, the under 17s were competitive globally as well. Local league was competitive on the continent as well. Where did it all go wrong?
